Gravitas | BrahMos & Dorniers: India's record defence export | WION
In a first, India has exported defence products worth over Rupees 21,000 crore. India has successfully delivered BrahMos missile to the Philippines, India has also delivered two Dornier 228 jets to Guyana. Is this the start of India's defence boom?

Chini and Bikharistan (pak) bots alert
Still baby steps. Brahmos and Pinaka a success story. We are no where in DRONE arena. Rustom drones are far away in terms of technology brilliance. We need to do a lot of catch up on this emerging field. So far success where low hanging fruits. Surprisingly Iran and Turkey drones are tested in real battlegrounds. India has to bring our Brahmos in predator Drone arena, very soon
Very good best of luck

Modi is the best. He make every Indian proud.
This is great news for India and its trustworthy neighbours, who can now access better defence equipment at more affordable prices. A safe and secure neighborhood is always better for India in the long run.
The sea warship market is available for tapping. India can make significant multi pronged pushes in this direction to seize export opportunities as this industry involves many sub industries creating compounded job opportunities which has a cascading positive effect to the economy. Currently the aerospace industry has few players and that may stay same for a while but the naval defence sector has the potential to involve more domestic players leading to higher export revenue potential.
Phil should look into Tejas as a naval strike aircraft.
Once we established a defence export partnership with another country it's a multi-prong business deal plus strategic partnership with the import country. From maintenance to servicing the import country will eventually rely on export party for years to come( maintenance, spare parts, technology upgradation etc.) so we could expand our domestic manufacturing hubs here in India fostering employment generation and economic growth. I think We had decades of experience as a defence importer from Russia....

Who on earth trust indian weapons?
India’s homemade INSAS rifle failed to fire
simply do a comparison, Brahmos with M 3, 300 kg warhead, range 290 km for international trade, Pakistan bought YJ12 from China, with M4 at the end range, 350 kg warhead and range 290 km, China's for its own use with range 400 km, beside China has range 1500 km DF 17 hypersonic missile, only Russia has similar, not even the US, let alone India, nothing special for Brahoms,

India exports twice it imports 😂😂
with current India defense polity, for the past 10 years under BJP, in weaponry, China is about 300-500 times stronger, here is why: India's military budget is approximately one-third that of China's. However, around 50% of this budget is allocated to salaries and pensions, leaving only a fraction for weapons procurement. In comparison to China, India's remaining budget for weapons is approximately one-tenth. Moreover, imported weapons in India are typically 3 to 5 times more expensive than in China. This results in India obtaining weapons at a rate of only 1/30 to 1/50 compared to China for similar levels of armament. Additionally, more advanced weapons, such as stealthy fighters, hypersonic missiles, and attacking drones, are often not available for purchase by India from other countries. Over a period of 10 years, India's actual military capabilities are estimated to be only about 1/300 to 1/500 of China's. Despite this reality, many Indians still harbor dreams of achieving superpower status by 2020.
