Lakes looking lovely and lush, nowhere better when the weather's like that! 6:00 That'll be the west shore road round the back of Thirlmere. It's been closed since the storms in late 2021! Quite amusing someone has scribbled out the 'while we work' and written 'no you are f***in not!', they don't seem to be rushing the clear up job. I hope you found the dam road and didn't go south on that dual-carriageway. It's a bit of a roller-coaster, very twisty and lumpy in that direction, northbound it's not too bad. One saving grace with that road closure is the A591 road down the east shore is now 40mph. Not a nice road to ride on though, a bit too much traffic at times - I'd rather take my chances with the storm damaged trees!

Now they're trying to close the road permanently. That's United Utilities for you.
This is a fantastic reconnoiter of this route. Thanks.
I just completed the Glorious Gravel Galloway forest ride and it was fantastic, so well organised and the spirit of gravel was very prevalent, met some great cyclists, even the downpours of rain were a relief because of the heat, I would highly recommend Glorious Gravel😁😁
Inspirational video! Thanks for sharing it!
Looking cracking few days Josh and great weather makes it all the better. Throughly enjoy this video 👍
Wonderful video Josh, and great route too, thank you 👍😎🚴
I really enjoyed this video. I will be in Keswick in just over a month. Bringing my bike from Australia. I was looking forward to riding around Keswick. NOW, I’m really looking forward to riding around Keswick. Cheers
Beautifully shot video 👏🏼
super video Josh ..... want to stop driving my desk and get out to ride.
When the sun is out there is no better place to cycle...... doesn't make up for the 350 days of grey skies and rain though 😔.
Went there a few weeks ago for some lovely hills, got Great Dun Fell on your list

Yes all on my Strava
Excellent video - you must do a lot of back and forth for your shots 😮 Suppose it’s good training 😉
Hi is there any reason you gone 2x over 1x I really can’t make up my mind what to get ?
@Josh-Reid

No particular reason. Both are good. One by has less to go wrong but 2x is better for when I use the revolt on the road.
Doesn't that gingerbread have milk in It Josh?
