I can't help but think, as I watched SP's final concert in T.O., what could've been had Dwayne never left us? His contributions in the studio AND in the shows is greatly missed. Thanks again, Mr. Marshall :)

No disrespect meant to Ogre, Key or anyone else, but....Dwayne really was the man with the magic touch. I don't think I've ever disliked a project he was involved with.

​@@EldeecueI dunno. I think it was more that Cevin and Dwayne had excellent chemistry together. They just complemented each other in ways that led to songs that haven't really been there since his death. All of my favorite albums are the ones he was present for.

Even on the lousy speakers of a mobile phone, I hear this is an excellent restoration! ❤

Every time I listen to Too Dark Park it takes me back to the days when my life was filled with higher stakes and I felt all of it. This was the soundtrack to it. Right fucking here. This music is a gift. Thank you for it.

I don't think he can. He has a special agreement to make these and post them on KZread, but I don't think he can release them as an album. Besides, he's a musician, not a distributor. But I would love to get an official remaster of TDP with Ken at the helm.

Everything about this video, from the tape recorder to the entirety of the mixing blow me away. Just this morning I was lamenting to myself that folks don’t really use digital the the fullest. Indeed didn’t even when CD was popular. The openness and staging are amazing thank you. It is a whole new experience.

Awesome work for one of my favorite SP tracks. I live discovering some of the buried aspects of the original mix, like the guitar work at the end (under "fleas attach themselves consuming"... ). There are definitely places where the vocals feel a bit too quiet and the bass drum too loud. Some of it may be the bass-heavy headphones I'm listening through, but just my take. Regardless, I love that you're doing this. It definitely triggers the nostalgia centers in my brain!

Imagining all of Too Dark Park with this treatment is short circuiting my brain.

I have literally checked all the old databases of quote sources, asked the SP subreddit, and ran the quote through every iteration I know of in multiple search engines....nothing.

cEvin has a great three hour youtube video over the making of TDP where he goes into all of that. As I recall, the overwhelming majority of all of it is samples. Definitely on Grave Wisdom the drums are all samples, but I'm not sure how much was triggered live vs programmed. I think it is both.

Ken digitized some of the OG studio tapes for remixes back in the day. So yeah, it's the multitracks.
