Garchomp smelled blood in the water (the land?) and it immediately rushed, striking down as many as it could. That Glaciate miss from Meganium was crucial: without Garchomp, I doubt the Magmas would've won. Good on Garchomp for being the carry its team needs! Also, A SUCCESSFUL HEAL BELL? That has to be like, the first successful heal bell.

I like that! Land. Definitely the land. That Glaciate miss, Meganium continues to do its best for the Devons, but that proved to be everything. Now for Garchomp to continue to lead the quake. Always a delight to see a niche moved used correctly.

Wow! The whole Magma team was ON FIRE today! Maybe that's why they destroyed the plants so easily. And Garchomp was a total MVP! Such dominance that he even used water to kill a Sceptile. Almost a mockery. Great game!

The Magma were tearing that mulch up, ensuring there was no hope for the Devons to grow. With Garchomp leading like this, the PTL could be in for some more Earth quaking outcomes.

Time to start making moves the other way

Spoilers: It was nice to see Brick Break and Heal Bell being used correctly by the Devons, especially when that Burn KO on Sceptile would have been kind of terrible, but the Magmas definitely earned their win this time. Capitalizing well on the Devons' 5 weaknesses proved to be vital, and good move choices like Blood Moon, Curse, and U-Turn kept the Devons from building any sort of momentum.

With the clever utilisation of Brick Break and Heal Bell type moves, it's almost as if they're learning. Next, we could finally see a Swallow or Spit Up used correctly. Oh, the possibilities.
