That was probably one of the most horrific cases you've featured to date. You can only imagine the extreme pain and discomfort that seal must have been experiencing. See you pulling the hook out from the seal caused me to feel uncomfortable and I didn't even have the hook in me. Superb work guys. You worked great as a team and were well co-ordinated.

This is on case if the animal was put out during the removal of the hook would have been better .Especially if it’s a barbed hook .

@@williamgrimberg2510 I so wish pain relief could be provided, but the seal would be in great risk swimming into the sea after being tranquilized. These guys work so quickly that the hook was removed in under 2 minutes and she was safely swimming shortly after.

Wow very impressive rescue!! Seems to me we as humans do not have a clue what we are doing to the world and its animals. Thanks to you these seals have a chance!! God bless your crew. 💞

Poor poor Seal - the pain must have been horrendous. You guys are absolutely amazing at the work you do.

Wally is like the team mom; the one that reaches into her giant purse and pulls out the most improbable thing when you need it. He’s covered in bags, carrying everything you could possibly need.

I wasn't planning on crying today, let alone bawl my eyes out. You guys are awesome

I cried and screamed too, my stomach turned. So happy they were able to help. Hope in the future they can help with a vet that can anesthesize the poor animals. They are doing the best they can with limited means. Just horrible to see these injuries!

I agree 100% that was heavy on me to watch when the hook then came out and the seal surviving its way back to the ocean

Flat out legends. That was pretty much a job for a vet and yet they still got it done. My eye balls hurt watching that.

You guys are AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for risking it all and putting your lives on the line to help these animals survive!! You all are walking Angels!!

Seriously, that country definitely needs a sanctuary that treats injured wildlife and releases them back into the wild.

@@6n294 The coastline is full of commercial fishing vessels and trawlers, all operate in international waters and mostly from Asia. This junk gets dumped at deep sea and currents carry it to shallow water where the seals encounter it. It is these commercial fishing companies that need to raise their awareness and implement better processes in not discarding fishing materials at sea.

That was intense, a bit hard to watch too, but she's very lucky to have people like you guys to come to her rescue I'm just wondering how long she bled like that though, hopefully it stopped quickly ... I'll say it again, you guys are awesome 👌👏

@@XJWill1 that's what I was thinking , I was also thinking that maybe they should have held on to her for a little longer and try to apply pressure on the wound to help stop the bleeding but I'm not sure that would have been possible, I guess all we can do is hope she'll be okay

Yep, they saved her sight and that's what's important. Poor gal would never survive blind. The pain she went through was horrible I'm sure, but I know she's no longer at risk of infection that would ultimately leave her blind and defenseless. And as you said, she had a lot of strength and fight in her and that's something to smile about

It had nothing to do with don’t care feelings. Someone went fishing and unfortunately lost the lure. Sadly the seal got entangled with it.

Oh God. This poor seal must have been in so much pain and it had to have affected her vision. I kept saying please let the barb be flat. That really was a difficult case but thankfully it worked out in the end. I hope this big strong girl makes a full recovery and you don't have any further dealings with her. ☮❤🦘🇦🇺

seeing that seal's face close up, it's so difficult to remember how incredibly dangerous this really beautiful creature is. every day I'm happy people like OCN are there to risk their fingers to save them!

Her eyes seem to have been unharmed at large, it was just (I know, it's still bad) going straight through the top of her head. Obviously we don't know what kinda of damage it might've done, but she seemed to be fine considering her size and that the eye sockets weren't punctured.

I think she figured out you were helping her when you cut the barbed end off, she seemed to lay pretty still while you got the other end pulled out of her head. Thank God it did not puncture her eyes. You guys are really heroes to the seal world, and of course to us, your viewers.

You guys are awesome! I don’t think you folks realize how much you’re helping people as well as the seals. During these troubling times, it is hard trying to find something worthy to look forward to and you guys are it. For one, you folks are making many people aware of the problem of ocean trash and secondly, the seal rescues are not just awesome but for me it gives me faith in humanity once again. Bless you

That one was about the toughest and scariest I have seen. You had to be so careful not to hurt her and keep yourselves safe also. Such a very scary job, and you guys did it, out on the beach, with nothing to sedate her. Thank you so much!

Me during video: Audible "oooh nooo," nervous anticipation, hand clapped over mouth, tears, deep breath, reassuring words for a seal & it's rescuers who can't hear me, huge sigh relief, more tears, deep appreciation, and mad respect!

This is by far possibly one of their most difficult rescues end it was amazing to see that the seal seem to have calm down enough to allow them to pull out that horrible hook in their face.

This actually made tears come to my eyes, that poor seal! 😢 Thank-you and bless you for saving her. I really do feel for these poor creatures. It is so sad, but it's a good thing you are on hand to help out. ❤

Great teamwork, guys. Kudos to Tony, it was very brave of him to get near the seal's mouth and to pull out that hook. Have a great weekend!

Man, you guys are truly Saints. I am constantly impressed with every rescue. If there was a need for this on the east coast of the United States where I’m located, I would devote all of my time to it. It must be very fulfilling work. God bless and Godspeed!

Luckily we have marine mammal center with vets on staff to handle these things in the US. Pacific Marine Mammal Center is my local rescue and they can handle anything. Surgeries and rehab for however long the animal needs then they are released. They are an amazing group.

Your work rescuing these beautiful creatures from such horrifying entanglements is magnificent…thank you so much!

Amazing watching when all you guys are together in a situation like this. Everyone has their own personality/strengths but when the pressure is on you all offer suggestions to achieve the very best outcome…..that is the sign of a great team.

Great save! Poor seal, such pain that poor thing must have been suffering from. Excellent team effort, but kudos to Tony! I love the way he talks to the seals!

You are simply incredible heroes! This rescue was really brave, difficult and very dangerous for your hands. Although the seal lady was initially quite wild and wanted to escape, she was strangely (thank God!) calm and incredibly brave during the most difficult part. Watching this hook being pulled made everyone's insides hurt, their faces contort with strain and their stomachs tingle unpleasantly. Brrrr ... the poor seal! But now she is free and very happy! ❤

How heartbreaking. This is the first time I have cried. How that must have stung when she went back in the water. Hopefully not for too long. ❤️ thank you.
