Tipper, you know, that until JESUS comes back, there will always be folks who are miserable. For some reason misery loves company and those folks make it their mission to be ugly and mean to others. Don't even let those folks bother you and your family one bit. Pray for them instead. You ansmd all your thousands if subscribers know that your family is real,hardworking,sincere and actually care about others. It takes hard work to build the kind of success that you have and to reap the rewards of your labor is right and well deserved. having a ton of followers proves you are relevant , you tube friends are invested in your story you are invested in them everyone enjoys the experience.

Negative comments are so unfortunate. They must be very miserable to feel the need to state those things. What you are doing is invaluable. You are keeping Appalachian tradition alive but also teaching. I live in Iowa and have already learned so much about gardening and preserving the produce from the garden from YOU! Not only that but some of your recipes have become standards in my home as well. Living closer to the land is what we all need to know how to do for our own good.

I was disliked by a neighbor when I was in highschool. She said I was a "hick" and my family was like The Waltons (I loved that show). I ran into her 20 years later and she apologized and said actually she was jealous of my close knit family and wished she was in it. So we never know what is happening in other people's lives. So true. From my experience, most hatefulness comes from within. I love my sister. Not sure why but one of my sister's have always been jealous of me. All I get from that is hate. God have mercy on us all.

KZread content creator is a real job. It requires lot of work, and consistent production. And then there is the editing which takes hours. I am so grateful you do this, and Katie and Corie do it, your channels bring me so much joy and peace.

I think your family has “paid its dues.” You and Matt worked hard to get where you are. That is why I love your family. You are real and you come from working class people like my family. Don’t be jealous when hard working people get a little ahead. Work harder and get there too! I find it an inspiration to see anyone do well in this world. Don’t let ugly talk get you down Corie. ANEMIA fix for Granny: Blue well water. I am so serious. I have a wretched anemic history. Had cancer doctors, transfusions, hospitals, hospitals, hospitals. Then we moved from Grand Rapids, MI to Enka/Candler, NC. My well water turned everything blue and cured my low blood in no time. I also book in iron skillets, and am quick to throw some greens in whatever I'm cooking. Good luck. There are no words for that style of tired. It's different, somehow. Now, that wilted salad. My people hail from the Mississippi River regions of AK and MO (hillbilly sharecroppers) and we had it often. Ours had sliced radishes, green onions (white and green parts), crumbled bacon. Now I buy a head of bib lettuce and go from there.

I have one child and he was born on Mothers Day, he reminds me kiddingly when I look for my gifts. Speaking of Grannies I met a wonderful 93 year old at Dennys, I did not realize she was dining alone untill she stood to leave. She struggled walking with her quad cane to the cashier. Had I known she was alone I would have invited her to join us. Please always leave a space in your heart for an extra diner. Forget the haters, love always wins.

Genuinely & honestly doing what you love is hard work. Don't let anyone tell you any different. There is a big difference, when you love what you are doing you make it look easy & that in fact is the difference but it is hard work. When it is good & positive sometimes even more so. I myself am if it's good & you build it they will come & appreciate what you have to offer. Most can decern the genuine & honest or if they cannot who's problem is that really. My Mom celebrated Mother’s Day AND her 94th birthday on Sunday. I showed her your corn planting video. She was tickled! She grew up in Sussex County NJ, northeast corner of the state. Corn fields and cows. And we have family in Black Mountain and Swannanoa. She loved listening to “y’all” speaking. It took her back to very joyous memories. TY 🥰

Happy to hear all the good news about Granny. To the person who said that you need to get a real job, well maybe they need to get a real life. I served 23 in the US Army, retired from it and then went on to work another 22 years in various other positions. Plus, having worked about 4 years before joining the army. It was all a real job. Every time I see you or Matt prepare a meal it brings back so many pleasant memories. Except for the green beans.

It’s rainy and chilly here in Macon, GA. It’s only getting up to 68 degrees today. My husband I went to church with two of our daughters and their families. When we got home I took a nap. My husband cooked supper on the grill and we had lemon meringue pie for dessert. I made the pie on Saturday and it was nice and cool by the time we ate dessert. I’m so glad Granny is doing well and that all the Momma’s had a good Mother’s Day.
