How would I secure the rings if I wanted a waist strap Fanny pack

I’m so excited to start this! Do you have any recommendations for how to make the design a little bigger? I’m using a smaller weight yarn so I figure I’ll probably need a couple extra granny squares to make up for it!

Would this work with 8 squares to make a deeper bag?

My strap is curling a lot. Does that mean I should go up a hook?

I started to make this with the lion brand hue+me yarn, I used a size 6 hook and my gauge is way off. It’s larger than the 4.5 inch. Should I size down a hook? Will this make it harder to work with?

A 5th square, on the diagonal/diamond, two sides stitched on one side and a button on the other side

Thanks for this tutorial I really love this bag however, I noticed you don’t have anything to keep the bag closed. Are you not adding a zipper or snaps? Wouldn’t everything just fall out of the bag?

Make sure to keep your work very loose and the hook will glide through the loops much easier 😊

This project is beautiful but takes up a lot of yarn
