Found out my grandma didn't know what glitter glue was recently after she brought in a huge jug of glitter and another huge jug of glue because I needed some in a craft we were doing. Now she only has one huge jug for the glitter glue and is obsessed with how convenient it is. Can't wait for her to find out that it comes in more colors than just blue.😂

My grandparents on both sides died when I was young, and the fact that they all live far away prevented me from visiting them often. I've only seen my grandparents once or twice in my whole life and I wish I had more time with them. Anybody reading this, appreciate who you have before it's too late and spend time with them.

mine dont even speak the language i speak and they live all the way across the world and my grandma had a stoke before i was born, she could of gone to like phsyical therapy or whatever but she was too depressed. she could speak but when she was dying she couldnt. she was fed through a tube and i gave her leg rubs, she has depression, cant walk, used to be able to make noises and try to speak but she kinda gave up. then she died and its a good thing since she doesnt have to suffer anymore. she was also a doctor and tried so hard to prevent this issue as it runs in her family but it still happended. thats just my moms side, my grandpa is okay, he draws. and my other grandparents are good, my grandma is super energetic and literally runs 2 me and my grandpa owns a farm and i went on this motorcycle once. (idk where i was going, he told me to follow him while i was holding a puppy and i kinda took the puppy with me. we picked vegetables from his farm and ate them for dinner.

2:50 I had this happen to me too. My grandpa was from Arizona, and I had never met any of his brothers. Sure enough, at his wake, his twin comes walking in and freaked ALL of us grandkids out. it was a fun day. My grandpa's twin also mentioned that the birth year was wrong on the death announcement. Apparently my grandpa had lied about his age my grandma and everyone else his entire life. he was six years older than he had told her. He told my great uncle that he would tell my grandma the truth once they had gotten married...since she was 18 when they met, and he didn't think she would date him if she knew he was 26. I guess in 59 years of marriage he never found the time to come clean.

I barely understand my first language (I can speak three different languages and even though English isn’t my first I’m way better at it then the other two I know) and my grandma is always so happy when telling me her stories so I just sit and listen. Ah this brings back good memories of my grandparents they were funny as hell at times and are very loving. If yall still have grandparents, show em some love cause we really don't deserve such great people who show nothing but love and care for us (unless you have a not so pleasant one or relationship with one). Been about 2 years since my grandpa died but even tho we didn't talk or visit much since he lived in a different country on the country side it was a bit of a pain to do all the prep to go there, but it was worth it.

I shared a doobie with my grandma once on Christmas Eve. She thought I was going outside for a party cigarette, but when she recognized the smell she said "pass me that" while putting back her cigarette pack. She then asked "is it any good?" before taking a deep hit from it, and before I could answer. It was good shit, and a smile conquered her face. She told me to not abuse it, and cherish "the leaf", before going on about her youth when she was touring the world like some sort of free spirit. Before we put it out half-way, as we had to function as guests for Christmas, she said "I've always wanted to smoke Cali sativa with my grandkids."

Aside - My grandmother, Nanna, was a stubborn old lady. Semi-disabled her whole life, with one leg markedly shorter than the other (and wearing specialist shoes with one having a very chunky heel). The story I love most is actually how she and her eventual husband got to know each other - he was a soldier in WW2, Nanna was in highschool and there was an assignment to write to a family member who was a soldier. She didn't have a soldier in the family, but the guy from down the street was one, so she wrote to him. The end result was he came home, they dated, married, and my Dad was their second child.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again - all of my good traits are things that my grandparents taught me. Here’s some of the highlights of those lessons - The only thing that can defeat the evil and hate in our world is genuine love for your fellow human being. We all have far more in common than we have differences. Every single person you meet has a lesson to teach you. You just have to be open to it. One of the wisest things you can say is “I don’t know”. That’s how learning starts. If you learn something new every day, you are doing something right. There is no good reason not to be polite, patient, and kind to strangers. You can never have too much toilet paper or too many books (I swear, they saw the pandemic coming decades early with that gem). At the end of your life the only thing that really matters is if you brought some joy into the lives of others. All of your accomplishments will pale in comparison to the marks you leave on the hearts of others. And here’s two tidbits from my maternal grandfather who was a true renaissance man (master carpenter and mechanic, Army veteran, artist, volunteer translator for immigrants as well as ran a community food bank, outdoorsman/scoutmaster/survival instructor, and generally fun dude) If you can take disassemble something and lay it out in order, you can fix far more things than you realize. You’re never fully dressed without a pocketknife, a handkerchief, and 20 bucks in your shoe for emergencies.

@@lordpumpkinhead265 nah, sorry if that’s the impression you got from that. It was not getting ready for a fight, it’s being prepared. Pocket knife (usually a 3 blade stockman traditional slipjoint) has a ton of different applications from slicing an apple to digging a splinter out of your finger. A handkerchief can be used as a bandage in a pinch. The 20 bucks was meant so you could put some gas in your car and have bite (though now it probably should be keeping a 50 in my shoe).

Ik it's kinda dumb to leave an a comment like this on a meme video, but my grandma died about 2 years ago and I've been missing her everyday. She was a joy to be around and I loved just sitting there and listening to her talk. Sometimes, I'd show her memes and she'd use the small knowledge she had of English just to try and make me happy. She influenced my music taste, the things I read, so many parts of my childhood and helped me grow into what I am today. When she died, it took me almost a week to realize that it wasn't some kind of joke and to this day, every time we go out, I almost have an envy to say "Why don't we go by to visit grandma later?". I miss my grams sm, but this video made me smile. It makes me remember all those fun parts of seeing your grandparents and having them in your life and I am so lucky I got to see them in person. Cherish what you have of your grandparents, missing them is like losing an old childhood toy. You can recall the nice moments you had with it, but it hurts you that it's ultimately gone. Miss you, grams. Thanks for introducing me to blondie and Abba tho.

This came at the worst time. My grandma fell last night and fractured a disk and got a small brain bleed.

For most of my life, I've never had a grandpa.I met one who I called Pop-Pop, but he died when I was five. I now realize, that since the age of five, I have had a grandpa, he's a really sweet older gentleman who works in my church's nursery with me! When I first met him I ran up and gave him the tightest hug and, according to my parents, said "You're just like Pop-Pop! I love you!". Pop-Pop was my grandpa, who had died a week earlier! At the age of 7, I promised him that I would work in the nursery with him, it has now been 5 years since I started working under him in the nursery! I love him
