Yes, the first season is fresher, the best from all aspects. Can't wait to wait for the two of them again in the upcoming 2024 drama 'Flourished Peony'. Li Xian and Yang Zi.

I have not finished the first season so seeing Shanyan smiling very much on this scene is quite refreshing.

It would be best if you didn't. It would ruin your initial perception of the series. I had watched season 1 after season 2 and i can say this is by far the most detached season 2 I've ever watched. Most of the season 2 storyline doesn't really follow the season 1 plot. And even the timeline in itself is confusing. Dissapointing

@@zylamortienio7437 i knew that quite well. Appledog of season 1 vs 2 was soooooo different. And as per your statement, "detached". And I am only saying this after seeing less than 10 scenes, (not even episodes) of S2. I did not finish S1 because the story was dragging and since it is already obvious that they will end up together, there should have been a thrill as to how it will happen and I didn't feel that curiosity so I gave it up. 😅

@@introvertspeaks well that's just proves people have different choices when it comes to dramas. I understand how for you the season 2 light up the excitement and fun that you failed to see on s1. But for me , season 2 is disappointing maybe for a fact that i love the chemistry and the flow of the story between the season 1 leads. For me , they could have changed the title and maybe removed the go go squid branding as the story is completely different from it's earlier counterpart. So fans of season 1 wouldn't have expected too much of the series. Of course that's just my take about it. You sure has your opinion and that's valid.

This drama is worth watching if only they don't replace the original characters of season 1.... Im sad watching it bcoz i feel awkward of their replacements. And the parents of Tong Nian & Han Shangyan and also the stepmom of Han Shangyan wasn't there at the wedding. I want to see the original cast of season 1 to gather the final chapter of the drama but was not happened. So disappointing 😢😢😢
