Cut stems underwater so they don't suck up air again, they suck up water. Then put them in a vase. This is why rose buds don't open when they're brought home and stuck in water. The air bubble travels to the bud base and causes it to droop. When cut flowers are brought home, put a layer of water in the sink or bowl, trim them underwater and then put them in a vase of plain water. They'll last longer than sugar in water.
The bicarb of soda/vinegar sink hack... if you use lemon juice instead of vinegar, you'll get the same result, but it'll also eliminate any smells coming from the plug hole too!

7:14 you can also repair the shoelace by dipping it in hot glue and waiting for it to cool down enough to mold into a tip, it`s more time consuming but its waterproof and very sturdy. Btw love your hacks and all your experiments! Pretty cool huh?

Another little tip for prolonging flowers is to add a few drops of bleach to the water, sounds counterintuitive, but my family used to grow for florists, and used that a lot
an additional tip for the last broken glass tip, placing a flashlight on the ground on it's side will show the shadows of any remaining pieces, making it easy to find and clean them up.
the first second and immediately starts the life hack. no annoying intro, hacks that can be done with everyday things, no fake hacks either. He is perfect.

The butter candle does work, but it has to be 100% cotton. Just thought I'd make note of that. Also, you can use a jar of vegetable oil or a can of vegetable shortening. (TKOR has a video testing different methods in case you're curious)

So many good tips . The bread and glass slivers and the vinegar to stop the whites from slipping out of the cracked egg shell are very helpful to know. The upside down frozen yoghurt cups - brilliant. Toothbrush and thread- fun. The ribbon and liquid soap for a tight ring -a life saver. I wonder if it would work for a bangle?

When he actually the first person thinking of this life hack contest for his video 4 years earlier than 5 minute crafts. P/s honestly at first i though 5 minute crafts was the best life hack channel in the world. But after 3 years watching them this is what i feel about them: 1.They reup the old video contents over and over again. They must have ran out of ideas so they have to reup the old contents not just on the main channel but also on their other 5 minute channels 2. At first their life hacks were actually work and useful. Bit since 2018 they've even shown some thing ain't deserve to be call life hack. They're clickbaited videos

A little comparison about Davehax and 5 minute crafs: Davehax: No clickbaited videos Always have his voice over and even show you how to do this hack/trick No reup old contest. Not to be confused when he makes compilation videos Always have chilled background music(the thing i like about this channel) 5 minute crafts: Reup old contents so much even some of their lifehack worked but most of them ain't Clickbated video go on and on

@@Gumboliniz yea, some of the old videos were actually pretty cool, but now most of them are basically recompilations of the old ones. most of the time they dont even do the hack again and just use the old fotage. even on the same channel! and besides that even the new tricks have became mostly "homemade decoration" or other crap

You can also use a candle to rub on zippers to make them smoother. Also, to test between a raw and boiled egg, just rotate the egg vertically like a spinning top. Boiled egg will spin, raw eggs will not spin vertically at all.
