My best friend Tommy, his grandparents owned one of these, just hearing it tick instantly reminds me of bygone times...the smells, taste, even some visions of what I think are better times...but only cause I knew so little and was far more innocent.

Local store? General store? Anyways, online you can get them, if you want a genuine antique clock look for used ones. Or clock shop. You can go to a thrift store and they might have one for a cheap good price and it most likely will work! Or an antique shop.

Say that to the cheaper battery powered Quartz grandfather clocks made by Sinix and Daniel Dakota. _These_ are the cheap ones. At least Howard Miller’s clocks with their mechanical movements and real wood cases still have some degree of quality compared to the electrical components, fake pendulums and weights, and particle board cases of the others I mentioned earlier, despite being modern and mass-produced.
