So GTA Online officially takes place after GTA 5?

Yep. Online starts out before the events of GTA V but ever since heists it's surpassed the year V takes place in, for example the Doomsday Heist taking place in 2017 and this one taking place in 2019. It's a weird ass concept.

@@stormdesertstrike In the Gunrunner's mission Mole Hunt Agent 14 flat out says it's 2017. Right at the start of the mission.
