I was born in the summer of 1969. I have such fond memories of this place when I was a young child. My parents told me I stuck an ice cream cone in my ear when the gun fights started because of the loud noise. I miss this place so much.

Thank you so much for posting this.. I went to Guntown Mountain when I was really young, I am 54 and this brought back so many memories for me.. I live in New York now but I hope it is still up and going next time I go home, I would love to visit there again..

I remember taking our 2 sons there in the '80's. We took the chair lift up. Camped out in the park where the cave is at.

I have fond memories of Gun town mountain. We would visit everytime we went to see family who was from cave city.

I have a vague memory of going here. I was maybe 8 years old so that was like 15 years ago wow! Glad to see it is still kicking!

Really awesome to see this place reopened! I went down there to visit Cave City back in 2015 and really cool to see the GunTown Mountain is open back then the Town wasn't open but now the Town is reopened with a new Ownership! I might have to revisit Cave City to visit GunTown Mountain do a special episode of it! Thank you for this amazing video!

Nice to see it reopen The guy that owned it last was mentally ILL one day he just trashed it and posed that it was for any one that wanted to go could and take stuff it was destroyed you have a lot of work to get it going again !!

Was there in 1984 at the age of 6. Have an autographed vinyl LP from the band and an autographed pic from the actors in the shootout.

It's probably closed for the season. Hopefully it will open again for the 2022 season.

What time do they open

Hello guys, hope you're okay. I have some questions because, I am creating a video about the history of funtown / guntown mountain and my first language is not English. Will russell´s no longer the owner of the park? Why the park in now named guntown mountain and not funtown mountain? What happened to the other attractions such as the farm, the mini golf area and the animatronics?

Guntown Mountain was the park's original name, Will Russell changed the name to Funtown when he owned it, and omitted a lot of the original Western theming.

Is it still operating? Just when I found this I also found a video from 2022 claiming it to be abandoned again.

Ghost Town is history. I was a gunfighter there off and on from 2001-2014. It is completely in ruins.
