What an amazing house, I really hope he gets to keep it somehow. It might be better to rent it out for a year or two and see if that improves his situation. WHAT A HOUSE!

What’s with some dads what the boys really want is to spend quality time with dad …not have him build a resort have a bad back , worry about finances..better to live in a small cottage be healthy and spend quality time with the boys

Ya the common denominator is that it’s not for the boys it’s to fulfill their own ego and they use their children to justify it probably even to themselves.

uurgh a man child more concerned with throwing a party making a nightclub in the house, than a place for his kids to grow up.

I wonder if he ended up selling it. I really thought he was building a small resort/party hotel the whole time, it never seemed like a home for a single dad + his 2 boys... 7 bedrooms?!

Well done Drew, it's a beautiful home. In many ways I'm on the same journey and I truly understand a lot of what you went through! 🤩🤩🤩

House turned out to be beautiful. Sort of a Frank Lloyd Wright vibe. Hope he can enjoy it for awhile.

Just looking at the site and the mockup you showed makes me wonder if it could cost 3.5 million. That's a very challenging site and complicated build!

@@mamemckee2190 I agree, however, a lot of rooms I would of eliminated, like disco, sauna, gym room. No way would I Pay 4 million for a house, even if I had the funds

why do people create these problems when it is unnecessary and could have easily been avoided = people can dream but let reality take over as you do not need such a monstrosity of a house that ruins your life - so sorry for him and sons but as I said could have easily been avoided

What an amazing house and what a sad ending. I hope he does get to keep the house but if he has to sell, i hope he's able to make a profit... he deserves it.

The presenter struck me as a bit naive in this one. This guy was going to have to sell this thing from about week 2 and he knew it. Maybe even before the start of the build. If he didn’t finish it he risked losing all his money but he had no other source of revenue. No businesses or property he went all in on this property probably hoping to sell it for a 1.5-2 mil profit.

House or home, he hasn't been practical. He should of had a down scaled building, he may have a heart attack before living in it.

I don't get these folks. It's a beautiful house but, if you've made all the right decisions throughout your life to have ended up with a million quid, why then go out and spend an extra 2 million that you haven't got for house like that for a family of three? And end up losing it? He could have levelled the land, shored it up, built a lovely little place for himself and his kids then either extend it in the future or sell off the other half of the plot.

This is like watching some cheesy soap opera about the life of some guy who never learned to live within his means and obviously didn't learn anything from his previous relationship. Narrated from a really negative, pessimistic point of view
