This is really cool. I did the south rim two years ago. Me and my wife did it. Cruised in one day, spent the night in a hotel just south of the main gate, went in the next day the went east and around then headed north. The Grand Canyon is so amazing, and your right, you need to see it in person. We were always intrigued about traveling in a van. You show some good things to know. But Ian, when you get older you'll be peeing about 10 times a night. Looks like you got about 30 years to go, but that is something to think about for the future. Loved it. Great, information. Those are actually “Beefalo”. A cross between cattle and Buffalo. Hence they are way smaller than the real Bison you’d see in Yellowstone.

I LOVED my roadtrips in the 90s and early 2000s. I went to the Grand Canyon with a friend, and we actually slept in my 1997 Honda Civic. We had nowhere near the comforts you guys did! That was so neat!

Haha we never knew the Grand Canyon was somewhere we would want to spend fall but it's now at the top of our list!! So happy you got pumped about it too. Hope you are have a great start to your 2021

Of course I get value out of it. I get to watch you guys explore new places. To bad you don't have $15 a day Airbnb's like you found in other parts of the world. I was headed to the North Rim about Oct 5th three years ago and it was already closed due to snow. Glad you got to enjoy it. Be safe. Woot woot!!

Was just there at the end of September. The N. Rim by far blows away the S. Rim. Much more spectacular features at your door step. The Aspens were stunning. Was the for sunrise which was magnificent. Enjoy your vids.

Loved seeing the routine

The basic difference between the Rims of the Canyon is that if you''re standing on the N.Rim loooking across the Canyon ,the effect is that of standing on the top of a staircase and looking down Whereas If you're standing on the S.Rim looking across the Canyon ,the effect is that of standing at the bottom of a staircase and looking up

Haha thanks!! It was really fun but once it got to month 3 and 4 we were tired of no showers and toilet 😂 Once in a lifetime experience though ya know!

Haha we had no idea there was such a big difference between the North and South Rim!! The reason we went to the North Rim was because it’s only 2 hours away from Zion National Park and Page, Arizona!! Such an epic place to go and get away from the crowds WOOT WOOT! So happy you enjoyed Larissa

We came in from the south, so we did the south rim for a day, spent the night then headed east and north and went to Zion and Bryce. Zion you could do a day or two, but Bryce is about 6 hours. Zion has lots of hotels, etc...not Bryce, but you could fit the North rim in and catch those two parks also.

The North Rim is an utterly-uniquely "different" place, perhaps because there are many delightful hiking adventures available here - such as the Uncle Jim Trail - that never have you descending below the rim! The North Rim is a prime example of a very unusual forest topography that is found in only a few places in Arizona ... and, utterly and completely different from the South.

Love the Grand Canyon coverage! Just a quick comment....if you are having a lit candle in your van I hope you have a fire extinguisher close!

Our favorite trail on the North Rim you saw in this video is called Bright Angel Point and it looked mostly wheelchair accessible!

There is no flying in any national park in the US but we flew in all the national forests right outside of the national parks we visited on this road trip. The landscape sometimes looks quite similar to the national parks and it's totally legal

It’s so easy for a guy. I just pee into a Gatorade bottle at night and empty it in the morning. I never have to leave the tent or vehicle.

Don't tell people about the North Rim. Nobody wants to go there for real. Part of the reason why you like it so much is because there's not the people there that are at the South Rim. Keep safe and have fun.
