Was there 2 years ago was a great trip. Had just opened back up after Covid so resort was only at 25% capacity which was great for early March.

Cheese here in Canada 🇨🇦 is so expensive, yet when I’m in Cuba 🇨🇺 , I have my own private “ wine and cheese party most nights !”

I just got back from Varadero from my 19th trip and it was amazing as usual.. Its the same resort every time And my last 4 trips here even with shortages have been some of the best I've had.. Love your content and I've always said Cuba is not for everyone since my 1st trip in 2014 ..... 🌴❤🇨🇺

On a widebody to boot! Transat? Las Brujas is my favourite Cuban beach, nice and sheltered.

Stayed at this resort in 2020. It was very nice

Buddy there is so much marine life in those waters. You have a wonderful snorkeling spot across the bay. Loved the beach there. I stayed at the brand new ONE GALLERY next door. Are there a lot of locals in the resort this year? That is what will affect your stay. LOCALS. I guess locals are not vacationing in January. Please do not go to Cayo Santa Maria in April. You will be overwhelmed.

I will say this!!!!i was Just there, its a far drive!!!! The food was good!!!My room was good!!! I did the Adults Only, Better pool and nice Vibe!!!Plus It has Breakfast and Lunch!!!eggs bacon bugers, beer wine!!!! Beach was good, not the best beach by any means!!!!but if your getting a deal... go for it, I wouldn't over pay for this resort!!!! the 24 hour snack bar is BASIC, ham and cheese. I just want to be clear that Cuba is struggling and when I go I understand that and my expectations are low!!!! And for that certain things don't bother me!!! Like they might bother most!!! Mike

I've been waiting for your video too. We were thinking about going in a few weeks to this resort but the reviews on their FB page have me traumatized. People paying extra to get out of the resort to go to another one.😢

Thats a great price Mike. Looks pretty good too. Looking forward to your Thailand vids. Apparently Thailand offers a 5 year Golden visa I think may be aimed at retirees.

Hey Mike. Just found your channel a couple of weeks ago and binge watched all your vids with my wife and loved them. We just got back from Cuba a couple of weeks ago and we loved it. We stayed at Melia Jardines Del Ray and the resort was amazing, no shortages they were fully stocked 😊. Hey Mike! For later in the year I was thinking of splurging a little and going to a "high end" cuba resort in low season. I was curious to get your thoughts on those resorts (melia buenavista, royalton santa maria or paradisus rio de oro). Do you think those resorts are worth the extra cost? I would love to see some videos on those places! Like, is the food better, rooms nicer? I'm so curious!

It really depends The Grand Aston was 2 days before I left But there are always deals in January first of February!!! After that it’s hard to find seat sale until after March Break

I always book upgrades at the time of booking not at the resort

We did that hotel in april 2023 had non single simplement and we were in adulte only we loved hotel ,intertainment and the beach but the food was so bad they had lots of shortage but the rest we loved .

for the money you cant ask for more. to be honest way more value for money than most destinations. and at the same time you can support cuban people with their struggle agains that stupid embargo.

Remember people, these prices are from Toronto, and it's only the beginning of peak season ! Everything changes when in high season! Stop bringing those god damn loonies and toonies! The Cubans don't want them. They don't even like their own pesos!
