GRANADA | The Moorish gem of Spain's Andalucia region!! (ALHAMBRA, TAPAS, FLAMENCO & MORE!!)

In this video I'm in Granada, in Spain's Andalucia region. I explore this fascinating city and visit the beautiful Alhambra, I also go on a delicious tapas tour and watch the famous flamenco which the city is so famous for. Granada is a city with a rich and complex history which has given rise to a very unique culture and it's a great city to visit!
A huge thank you to Gayle for an incredible tapas tour, I highly recommend getting in touch with her if you want to try the best tapas in town:

The production value of this woman’s videos is far and away the best I’ve seen in self produced content. The camera work, onscreen narration, quality of research, etc. etc. competes favorably with many network financed and produces programs. Her enthusiasm and need to feel the soul of everywhere she travels is palpable. This woman has the potential to be the next Tony Bourdain, Rick Steves, or Rick Stein. This is fantastic work.

@@CarloDRTrafficante No, I think she's definitely of Arabian heritage. It's striking. It's a very common type in Arabian land. She's probably Sicilian, and Sicily was under Arab-Muslim rule for four centuries and was under Phoenician domination long before that. Phoenicians trace their ancestry back to Canaanites and the Hymiarites, both of which are Semite tribes of Yemen and the Arabian peninsula. "Phoenicos" means red in Greek and "Ahmar" or "himyar" means red in Arabic.

@@eleanorrigby7897 😂, no no. Es irónico.

Well, in 1482 the last Muslim bastion of Granada fell in the Reconquista; Fortunately, Spain was completely liberated from Muslim conquerors again! This meant that Spain, like almost all European states, was able to develop free of ecclesiastical and religious obstacles (the Catholic Church tried to slow it down for years, but at some point this ghost was over too!) Spain was able to develop with democracy, humanism, enlightenment, education , secularism, freedom of the press and developing equality between men and women; all attributes that are still missing in Islamic states today:!

@@jojolafrite9265 u r confused. The term judeo-christian only arose after World War II and it was used to try to appease the Jews who had been persecuted in the war. The concept of day of Christian really has no validity. Originally it made a Jew that had converted to Christianity. It no longer means that and actually is empty in meaning. Spain was a Christian country and then it became Islamic but they allowed other religions such as the Jews and the Christians to live in peace. Then following Queen Isabella it ceased to be Islamic and was Christian and they did not allow the Jews and the Muslims to live in peace but rather they force them to leave how to convert to Catholicism. I'm a German English Roman Catholic and I know my history. I have lived and worked in Spain and I actually understand the Spanish culture and it is beautiful but I especially like Andalusia which has the flavor of the Moors or Berbers as they were called. They were not Arabs but they had converted to the Islamic religion after the Turks came down and converted them.

Madrid seemed too crowded to me because I live in Ohio, USA: we are not used to crowds. I instead had a good time in a village in Zamora, Benavente, where my ancestors are from.

@@Malini.Angelica You were the perfect hostess. I am extremely motivated to visit the beautiful and history richness of the country of Spain that has always fascinated me in so many wonderful ways. By the way my middle name is Morris and just maybe that subconsciously pulled me into the interest and passion that the Moorish-Spainish culture brings out of me. Your elegant method of exhibiting the unique grandeur, timeless beauty of the architecture, and one of the most scenic pieces of geography on the planet. Thank you for liking my comments and I feel honored that you took the time to do it. You are a extremely beautiful woman externally and internally which made this video in my opinion a video art piece of excellence.😊🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😊

So I am planning on visiting Spain in the near future and your visually stunning 🤩 video has given me much inspiration to complete this dream that I have shared with you. But she censored the fact that the muslims and jews were not simply expelled, they got tortured to death in these trinitarian inquisitions forcing them to accept trinitarianisme or die in a most horrific way (the muslims never used torture against them its haram) there is still a torture museum in spain showing those middle ages torture machines.. the so called expelled ones were the ones who tried to make a low rate survival trip to North Africa using diy vessels
