Wow, I’m so early! I’m from Sweden and I’ve never had cornbread, what do you eat it with? The recipe reminds me of my own grandmother’s recipe for “oven pancake”, which is a little bit like this but no sugar in the batter and bacon added to the batter. Oh, and no cornmeal, this is old school Swedish peasant food so plain wheat flour only, it’ll stick to your ribs so you’ll be fine during the winter. I feel grateful to get to see your grandma’s recipe, and learn about American cuisine to boot!

Another thing you could do with the drizzle is get some long toothpicks and poke some holes around the cornbread so that when you pour the drizzle on it it seeps into the holes and makes an even more luscious cornbread.

Made this with some Buffalo chicken and Mac n cheese. It. Is. Next. Level!! My god, this is the best corn bread I have ever had and my husband agrees. The only thing I did different is poke holes through out the bread before adding the glaze. So frakking good! Thanks AB.

I love cornbread, period! And with greens, cabbage, beans-any type, black eyed peas is the best. The next morning buttered with jam, or honey, and a cup of coffee sets the day right 😋

I love cornbread and this sounds amazing. I can’t make it turn out like AB’s, but I’m going to definitely give it a try.

Looks so yummy! I usually use the cornmeal method but this definitely seems to be more inexpensive than using Cornmeal.

I did mine wit the limas that had soaked overnight. I added a lil fried bacon in addition to the dry seasoning, then I laid a lil baked pork chop on the side. We ate GOOD that day lol
