Hey guys, thanks for this, I just bought this myself as a first attempt to get into all grain brewing! Would absolutely love an updated video on how to use and work around all the kinks you guys had throughout this video!

After drilling a hole in the lid and setting the power to 1000watts it is fairly stable mash. That swing is worse for you Celsius guys. The timer not working at boil is it's biggest downfall but I really like the system.

Yeah we like it too once you get your head around the way it works. We use it once a month.

Hi. Great video. Agree about the sight glass being an issue. Do you think it would be easy to vertical pipe from the pump to the sparge arm with a sight glass? Is that advisable and do you know if that pipe is easily removed?

Hi, not totally sure to be honest. If you can find a sight glass that fits the sparge/pump fittings then yes but it would definitely be easier to fit one that doesn't involve replacing the pipe. Also, having a sight glass on the side rather than round the back can be viewed more easily. It looks like the pipe could be removed without much difficulty. If it's something you're going to do let us know how you get on!

Well done, yes those feet do look like rubbish and I would expect the controller to work better. I always take my temperature in the middle of the mash as you pointed out the reading is from the bottom. You could either lower your kitchen bench or put it on a dedicated platform …kidding about the bench .

Thank you! It’s a shame because it’s so nearly a great system. Having said that, we kept it and still brew on it 🍺

This is a joke! If you are going to review something take a bit of time to understand the kit you are reviewing. There is either something very wrong with the controller on that or you have made a lot of errors I am going with you pair being incompetent. At the point where you are chilling the boiled wort and extolling the virtues of the emersion chiller it can be clearly seen that when the temperature reaches 76 C 19m43s the heater kicks in and starts reheating the wort you are cooling. I maybe understand you were trying to act as though you don't know what you are doing... stranger than fiction :) but even a complete novice would make sure they understand the way the controller works. I have watch many reviews of this kit ... nobody made such a hash of it as you pair have!

Wow. You clearly know nothing about the market this system is aimed at or the brief we received from Grainfather. We could have edited some of the content that has clearly upset you and removed the solitary example you make but we were asked to make an unboxing and FIRST USE video review. Warts and all. The heater kicking in was an oversight and we corrected it within seconds - guilty as charged. It's well documented that the control system is a cheaper one and possesses a few quirks. Showing this in raw footage is the best way to illustrate it. We weren't asked to produce a slick demo video. Perhaps you wouldn't be so quick to throw stones if you tried brewing on a new system and filming at the same time. Warmest regards.
