Can’t test waters by major golden age key books / DCs . They weren’t all hyped up over boom. Plus anyone buying Action 1 / Tec 27 probably not worrying about their mortgage rate ! It’s those more ‘affordable ‘ ones that are the real test .

If I had a high grade AF 15 I wouldn't sell now either unless absolutely necessary. It is the definitive Silver Age Key.

"Catching a falling knife" perfect line. Gonna apply that mantra when buying. Just finished your "not all comics need grading" great intel on how to really break down numbers. Amazing content

I totally agree about that FF #1 8.5 having less than desirable white background on the cover. I wouldn't be surprised if that one does under-perform abit.

The only way to win these at a fair price is to actually be there during the auction. At least that’s how I do it.

The thing about Ultimate Fallout 4 is that in the future there will be a whole lot of 'old people' seeking that book out as their first childhood introduction to Spiderman. As a gen-Xer this went way over my head until a KZreadr - and I forget which one - pointed that very reasonable scenario out. That being said I totally agree that even this rare variant will still likely see better prices in the near future... but in 10, 20 years it could be a holy-grail status book.

Looking at the graphs it kind of looks like all of these books have a “natural” value and the comic boom distorted it wildly. I wouldn’t be surprised if the values slowly return to value they would have been at if the boom didn’t happen.

Ryan I have an unpressed cgc graded 9.4 UF4 variant in the gen 2 case. It won’t hit the 9.8 IMO. What do you think I should do with it?

I don't think it's so much that these books are "correcting." It's more collectors are either unwilling or unable to pay the prices we saw during the comic boom. Once all the investors and people with tons of money exited the market, it's back to collectors and comic book lovers buying these books. The high-end market hasn't been as affected as these are people with tons of money bidding on books like TEC #27 and Action #1.

I think there is some concern on the general "economy" as well. - so people aren't as inclined to drop $10,000 on that ASM 1 CGC Grade 2.5. It's going to take some time. - and we have to get that vegetable out of the White House. The US Government is $35 TRILLION in debt. You think the stock market isn't going to crash? HA! Think again. People are nervous. - and rightly so.

Comics and collectables are going to tank way harder than this. If you wanted to make money in comics you should have been a seller during the stimulus check boom. Inflation has only just started to spiral out of control, we are going to see 30 dollar loaves of bread within the next 5 years that combined with people losing theyre jobs, not being able to keep up with mortgage payments the last thing people are going to be worried about is collecting comics, your going to see people trying to unload comics that nobodies going to have money to buy. I’d be trying to off load everything you have now and catch people that are ignorant to what’s happening and catch people while they still have money

@@AutomaticComics I mean all my stuff is paid off/ it’s just simple knowledge of the economy being able to look at data and common pattern recognition. Has nothing to do with my own personal position in life. It’s not fear mongering it’s just facts. You come back to these comments 5-8 years from now and we’ll compare the prices of things then! When things hit rock bottom nobody will be around to defend their positions is generally what tends to happen.

@@AutomaticComicswhen I was telling people the economy was going to crash back in 2010 after the first housing market crash of 08, people laughed at me and told me I was brainwashed by KZread…. When banks start going insolvent and getting swallowed up by bigger banks and I send out the links on articles those same people try to pretend like they never said what they said, I get how things work. You’ll be nowhere to be found when you can get these huge books for a thousand bux.
