    "Bus Stop" is a song written by English singer, songwriter and musician Graham Keith Gouldman and performed by British Band The Hollies in 1966. "Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say please share my umbrella..." Graham Nash is a founding member and joined the band "The Holies" since September 1962 until December 1968. Graham Nash left the group in 1968 to form the supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash, CSNY (with Neil Young), and solo career. This acoustic version of the song is amazing and has the collaboration of Shane Fontayne (born Michael Barakan), English rock guitarist, session musician, audio engineer, and collaborated as a guitarist and producer in 2016 Nash album "This Path Tonight". Memory is living. Worth.

    Had the pleasure of watching Graham and Shayne play this in Halifax this week. It was a brilliant night. Also, Grahams book related the story of how he and Allan Clarke went to a young Graham Gouldmans house to listen to this and “Look through any window” that the young man had written. They snapped them up but missed out on “ No milk today”. That was promised to Peter Noone 👍🏻

    Graham tells the story about going to see a young songwriter to humour the songwriter's mother and he plays this, Look though any window and No milk today. not sure if the story matches the history but it is a great story. BTW they wanted No Milk today but Gouldman had always promised that to Peter Noone.

    Great story HOW the Hollies came across this song.... Their manager pestered them to visit his Neighbour. who wanted the Hollies to hear their 15 year old sons songs... That turned out to be Graham Gouldman..who became a founder member of the band , 10 cc .

    Graham Goldman was likely 19 when he wrote this song. Graham Nash has told the story that he was 15, but this is very inaccurate.

    If bus stop is in key of Amin with a capo at 5 what key is it. Eminor?

  • @Choobaccacabra

    @Choobaccacabra

    5 жыл бұрын

    They're playing in the key of A minor. Graham plays the open Am chord because he doesn't have a capo. Capo on the fifth fret with an Em shape is Am in a different voicing, which is what Shane plays.

    WinterCity Knight. Not really. I think he did well. His legacy will be respected and no I am not a downer you said? I am only expresing my opinion... I adored his voice even though when some jerks stated that he only was a sort of "stuffed" voice when he was with The Hollies and even when he was with CSNY. Times goes by and this is not the beutiful voice he had once. Greetings.
