Things that they don't tell you: 1. your caps falling into a canal or falling into tall grass and you not being able to find it 2. forgetting to bring water to thin out latex fill pieces 3. adrenaline 4. forgetting to put "2023" or something next to your piece 5. bad can control 6. your pants being messed up with paint (wear cheap pants) 7. forgetting to bring gloves 8. "can stuttering" (ask your local experienced writer for this)

Black outline white fill. Focus on your letter structure before you start adding colours

I’m an abstract painter but have always been interested in graffiti art. I have the opportunity to do a graffiti piece inside an old industrial building and I’m nervous!! This video really helped

Blackbooks sometimes create a "pressure" to artists, some people never even dare to draw something onto their first page, because they consider it as a title page. Just give a shit about the quality in what you do and draw what YOU like and want to try and fill it up. Have fun, it is just a sketchbook after all. If you like something to show off, create a blackfolder to put in your burners. But be careful with your sketches, if you paint illegally, the police will take them and use it as evidence.

That's why I use prefer sketchbooks with spiral bindings. Don't like the page? Just rip it out! Takes away that pressure for me.

Simple letters are also great to understand typography and the interaction and connection of single pieces of letters. Understanding that helped me a lot to see why letters look good or bad. I'm really looking forward to more tutorials! You can never learn enough!

Writing graffiti for like 10 years but still watch videos like this and feel myself like a completely toy. Great vid, Thank You !
I’m a complete beginner to graffiti, and this video really motivated me to put more effort into it. Thanks!
The fact something that good can be done freehand is insane. I assumed it was all stencil.
I admire the things you take for granted, like the evenness and consistency of your spraying flow. No crooked or inconsistent lines, just beautiful precision that only comes from experience. Great video friend! I appreciate your talent. Thank you. I’m taking my Son out tomorrow night so he can do his first piece. 😊👍🏼
Growing up in the bronx , Ny , ive always been in love with graffitti .....so i finally bought a bunch of marker, book and im sketching everyday .
Nice tutorial. I used to do graffiti when I was in my teens. I was more of a tagger but did a few chromers and pieces in my time, but I was certainly no expert. I used to love the buzz all the same. I'm too old now to be getting chased by cops 😆 but feeling inspired to get a black book and pens again for therapeutical reasons. Cheers, man. I'll have a look through some more of your videos for tips. 👍

I’ve been trying to get into the graffiti scene, and this helped good stuff bro.
Crazy as a kid I painted. Loved the scene was alot stronger in early 2000 before phones and all that not really much for kids to get up too, had to get tips from the older crew and that was all super low key, it was so hard to get graffiti DVDs as it was all underground and now in my early 30s you can get all the info tips and tricks from KZread, never would have imagined, keep it up, graffiti is art, expression of one self, might get back into it even after so many years 🙌🔥

Very Nice piece and combination of colours
This is pretty awesome. I'm doing some stencil art but I think I might some more graffiti now.
Your A great teacher....thanks
Just putting this out there... I have seen some amazing graffiti artists and I've wondered to myself what would happen if a really great graffiti artist connected with a talented person who knows how to use a rug tufting gun? You guys should look into rug tufting. You could turn your art work into one of a kind area rugs and carpets quite easily and I would bet the farm that they would sell if marketed properly. Trust me, look into it. Watch videos on the process and I think you would immediately see the possibilities. You guys could come up with way better designs than what I've seen so far from watching carpet tufting videos, big time.
Fire! I like the tips!
Thanks brother!
Loved it
thankyou for making this video! ive been doing spray paint designs like planets and pyrimads, but never did graffiti.
Great technical explanation.
Thanks it’s very helpful
Youre Brilliant Bro And Thanks For My Rookie Lesson..
Yeah, nice letters and awesome vid tutorial. Its easy when its not so hard. 🔥
my friend who i paint with always say "Fat cap only, no toys allowed" thanks to that i learned how to use fat cap for fills, lines and effects, now when i paint with skinny caps i found them super easy to use

In my opinion, i think it's better for rookies to paint without gloves when they start I think you can feel the can better, and even have a better control of it

Yes, but Latex gloves are fine there are thin enough, but in winter your fingers will die.

In my opinion I don't think it will make much of difference. If you learn first without, than you have to learn with gloves on later on. So why not skip right to the part where you're painting with gloves on?

@@GraffitiBloq Hi, I agree. I started painting graffiti without gloves, years ago. Many friends painted without, so I started the same way. But now that I would like to save my fingers, it is harder for me to use them because the "feel is different" so I wear it, for big fills, for the out lines I take them off. If I started with, maybe it would be different.
On the quest to master this ability 👊👊👊
Great clear video. One other tip might be good is to chalk out your design first to get placement.
Can’t wait for the shadow video, only thing holding me back honestly
Luv it☺️

By the way.... of course it's always good to practice a lot of straight lines, but the best coverage to fill in parts, comes from circular movement out of the wrist, not from drawing straight lines. :-)
@GraffitiBloq

I guess you're right. But you could also go over it in another direction. But if the piece is filled like I did it, you won't see it on the picture. But maybe the piece will last a little shorter.
