During GrafanaCON 2024, we came back together in person for the first time since 2019. Grafana Labs CEO and Co-founder Raj Dutt announced the winners of the Golden Grot community dashboard awards, and members of our engineering team made some exciting announcements around our open source observability projects including Loki 3.0 and Alloy. And Torkel Ödegaard, the creator of Grafana, unveiled what’s new in Grafana 11, with some demos.

Visualization: It provides a powerful and flexible interface for creating and customizing dashboards with graphs, charts, and tables. Users can configure visualizations with various options for displaying data. Alerting: Grafana allows users to set up alerts based on metrics and send notifications via various channels (email, Slack, etc.) when certain conditions are met.
Data Source Agnostic: Grafana supports numerous data sources, including databases (like MySQL, PostgreSQL), time-series databases (such as Prometheus, InfluxDB), cloud providers (like AWS CloudWatch, Google Stackdriver), and many others.

Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. It allows you to visualize and analyze metrics and logs no matter where they are stored. Here are key aspects of Grafana:
I am indexing my logs in structured elastic common scema. Is there a benifit to switch otel format ( maybe for pattern detection shown in explore? )
