Given that this was written for the father of Ferdinand graf Zeppelin, the man who would design, test, and build the Zeppelins (alongside building the world's first major aerospace company AND the world's first airline)... ... it's odd that it was more fitting to Ferdinand than Fredrick...

Einfach himlisch... Zusammen mit dem Radezky Marsch ist das meiner Meinung nach der schönste Marsch überhaupt... und auch der schönste deutsche Marsch. Sehr majestätisch und erhaben..

Ich finde den Marsch auch sehr schön , zwar nicht so schön wie den Badenweilermarsch oder den Helenenmarsch, aber dennoch ist er sehr majestätisch!

Ein weiterer Beweis für den deutschen Pioniergeist! Der Zeppelin!

Der Zeppelin wird aber nicht mehr benutzt.

Meine Omi had the joy of watching the Graf Zeppelin fly over NYC whilst she was a student at Columbia University Teachers College - she never forgot "der majestatische, schoene Anblick" of the Graf floating overhead. The (edit 1) C-section at 1:51 brings to mind such a beautiful sight.

Zeppeline waren eigentlich richtig geil, schade das es sie in diesem Ausmaß nicht mehr gibt :( Ich mein stellt euch Berlin vor den 2 Weltkriegen vor. Ihr geht in diese Stadt und oben in der Luft, ganz majestätisch fliegen dort oben ein paar Zeppeline :D

Zeppeline waren ein Geniestreich, sind aber leider außerhalb von Nischen eine Lösung ohne echtes Problem.

German music was EVERYWHERE in the feels section. One march can be whimsical like flying into the clouds like this or the march to war like all sorts of military marches or even music about being loyal to their girlfriends or wives...

The old Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation (Ohio) moribund for many years has been re-created in a new partnership between the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and ZLT Zeppelin Luftschiff gmbh. Good news and they are in the air!

Frühr in den 60 - 70ern sah man selten mal Zeppeline. Aber kleinere. Hab seit ewigkeiten keinen mehr gesehen. Sowas grosses wie die Hindenburg wurde auch nie mehr gebaut.

kind of wish i had the means to commission a modern one with the outer layer made out of solar pannels to feed the electric motor, electronics and so on. also once i start youtubing, as a german graf (von falkeinstein) i may use this as intro/presentation music car qui n'aime pas le musique libre de droit

I would have assumed that the march took its name either from Ferdinand, the inventor of the airship, or from the airship that was later named after him. I have not been able to find anything out about Friedrich. What did he do to earn the honour of a march being named after him?

Ideal während WoWs im deutschen Flugzeugträger...

Ein super Marsch und sehr gut gespielt und eine sehr gute Musikkapelle. Das war immer der Hausmarsch vom Hafenkonzert in Friedrichshafen am Bodensee bloß der SWR setzt halt auf nur noch modernes Zeug. Tradition ist angesagt Sonst geht alles den Bach runter.
