@justinmix143

I think even when healthy, he's always had the benefit of teams not being able to scheme against him because everyone else is on your D line is so freakin good. He doesn't face the same number of double teams that more dominant D ends do--like say a Miles Garrett--but he's still only been able to turn that into one pretty good year. And granted I realize he's been hurt a lot, but I dunno man. Maybe the truth is....he's just not THAT good. Being the physical specimen & freak athlete he looks like makes that much harder to believe, but God knows it happens (and probably way more often than we usually care to admit in the NFL). Perhaps he's really just a decent starter who's mostly capitalized on playing w/ the best D line unit in The League. And he's simply not the monster stud everyone thought he was sure to be. Not everyone can be Reggie White, ya know? Look at Travon Walker. Freakiest athlete, tests off the charts...but once the actual football starts, he's completely & totally far outplayed by not only Aiden Hutchinson, but also the Lions 6TH ROUND pick, James Houston (who was 2nd in rookie sacks & way up there in pressures, hits, etc., behind Aiden who led in all categories. Walker didn't have half his production). Ya just never know, man. But....the (game)tape never lies.

Bucs fan here. Tristan Wirfs has been an amazing pickup and I have nothing but positives to say about him. That being said I'm very curious how well he plays with Trask or Mayfield at qb. Theres an intrinsic motivation to do your best every single snap when you are protecting arguably the greatest qb of all time and without that motivation I hope he stays consistent.
As a Dolphins fan who flew in from Australia, I was tragically disappointed with Tua's game against the Steelers. B seems fair but I think incomplete is more apt. He is either Brees or bust and even after 3 years I have no idea which Great video - thanks for the love. And have a yew beut day

He FAR closer to Bress than bust. Considering the steelers game was vs a very good team and he was coming back from nearly a month of and very bad looking concussion.... It was kinda expected. He isn't an elite prospect, but he has some very high level traits to be a top 10 QB for years to come. I do think he'll never been burrow or Herbert but he's a QB that will succeed in the NFL if he can stay upright.
One of the best quarterback classes in awhile

I’m still not over the tragedy involving Ruggs. It’s really really sad, and just gets sadder as time goes on.
I like how fair you were with Simmons, usually outsiders give Simmons a negative grade but never see the nuance in the snap counts and numbers, I'm an AZ sports writer and I'm currently writing why the Cardinals should pick up his 5th year option, of course there's many in my community thinking we shouldn't
The Joe Burrow joke at the end got me, ngl 😂

As a Bengals fan, not giving Joe an S is a crime punishable by death. He pretty much is the face of this new era of the Bengals. He’s the perfect draft. He took the team onto his shoulders and rekindled the long dormant fan base of Cincinnati behind him. I live in Cincinnati, and it’s insane the difference 2 years of success made. You see a LOT of bengals merch now. People are no longer afraid to walk around wearing it. People don’t realize how much of a football town Cincinnati is. Joe burrow was an S tier pick.

Would love to see a video about the second round since those people are expected to be starters as well. It would also be cool to see an overall grade for each team looking back 3 years later compared to what people graded the teams immediately after the draft
Lmfao when you said Burrow was an A because of the SB loss I spit out my water laughing
the image they used of tua looks like brucey from the longest yard
Aiyuk was in this first round as well. Easily an A- pick
Ruggs: killing someone in a drunken car crash should be an auto-F. Not saying he doesn’t deserve to try to redeem himself, but for now he blew it.
It’s weird to think that Carolina got two stars in this draft with Derrick brown and Jeremy chin in the second then traded for what was suppose to be another one
@BillyWitherspoon
Жыл бұрын
About a year or 2 years ago I would’ve of disagree with you but now since brown took a leap and (I’m hoping he takes another leap this upcoming season) I would definitely say we definitely did grab 2 great players for our defense
Browns fan here... I'll be the first to admit that I'm frustrated with Jedrick Wills most of the time, but I'm glad he touched on the Joe Thomas effect. Another thing that weighs into this is how good the entire rest of the line is, which isn't just a "by comparison" statement as much as it is to say that he is clearly the weak link, and thus more susceptible to being attacked/exposed by opposing defenses.
i will never forgive the lions old front office for trading slay for a 3rd round pick just to draft a CB 3rd overall the same year… Imagine how much different we’d look with Herbert going forward :(
LOL it's hilarious how many people stopped the video and typed in angry responses when he gave Burrow an A , and failed to watch the next few seconds of the video.

Side note. Is this music from Kingdom hearts?
my only issue with Tua last season was when the Chargers and Packers exposed him. he has problems reading defenses, but having Waddle and Hill basically open all the time made it easier for him. I hope he develops and becomes even better, like Herbert and Burrow. he's a likeable guy.
@ZGh0st1422
Жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t say they exposed him, he was coming off of a concussion, and spent weeks recovering without practice
AT is such a beast
Thank you for saying what casual NFL fans don't understand, that Chase Young has honestly leaned more towards a bust than some prodigy
When you said Burrow was just an A for losing a Super Bowl and having Herbert an A+ I about lost my mind…of course, I watched for 5 more seconds and learned you were joking…that was pretty good.
Becton has slimmed down quite a bit this offseason, curious to see if it helps his injury issues and can live up to his billing
I'd give Tua an A- he was slow to get going but showed he can play with the best of them them. I understand he had the concussions this year, but burrow had an injury his rookie year and I don't take anything away from him. If Tua is healthy he's a hyper efficient qb. Not a game breaker but a fantastic distributor
@mitchw4374
Жыл бұрын
Yea, i thought Tua should have been at least a b+, he lead the NFL in passer rating, and was 3rd in QBR.
Okudah is a complete disappointment at 3 as a lions fan but putting it perspective with the db assets we’ve recently acquired that dude is gonna be absolutely perfect as a third option corner
Herbert absolutely killed it his first 2 seasons, this last one was a bit disappointing for a number of reasons mostly due to him breaking his rib cartilage in week 2, missing his top 2 WRs for several games and then playing through a torn labrum the last few weeks of the season including his first playoff game. Im sure if he stays healthy he will be even better than year 1-2.
Just outside of the top 16 was CeeDee Lamb, and to this day I am still baffled Ruggs was taken over him. Granted it was a stacked WR room, but Ruggs wasn't even the #2 option at Bama
Don't get why people are so harsh on Tua. With the weapons he has, he just has to get them the ball, and he has shown he is exceedingly good at that.

Jus gonna say I’m a bit surprised you hav a ‘B’ grade for the Isaiah Simmons draft … it’s worrisome the cards didn’t renew or exercised his fifth-year option 😶

Bruh I really thought you were giving Burrow an A and not A+ and was like WTF...feeling super gully after that.
Man, it's crazy how the #1, #2, and #3 pick in this draft have all already suffered a major injury. I think Burrow and Chase suffered the same injury too? FedEx Field man, yipes
Justin borderline top 5? I’m very curious, Who are your top 5?
He deserves an A+++
I was bout to come in here HEATED til I saw you changed Burrow to an A+.. 😅
Honestly in terms of Gettleman and the Thomas pick/trading the Fields pick for Thibodeaux and Evan Neal, it’s good but would they have developed if he stayed? If Gettleman stays even another year, Joe Judge stays too, and the Giants are staring in the face of a total rebuild
I love how Brett Kollmann was so wrong with Jedrick Wills
Tough to really argue with you but I feel that's a bit harsh on the becton pick
Bengals nation had a collective momentary heart attack. I think a few mouthfuls of Skyline Chili may have been ejected too 😧😧😧☺️
At first when he said burrow was just an A I was very confused because I’ve watched him play at an A++ level in the sec and nfl
Juedy and denver will make you eat those ridiculous words
Man The Lions F’ed this up so bad, thank god they finally have competent people making the decisions now
Tua should be a B+ his coach staff 1st year was a mess but he played through it.
the fact jalen hurts didn’t go first round is surprising
Yeah that sucks that okuda couldn't stay healthy and wasn't worth that third overall pick that's another Bob Quinn mistake and that loser Matt Patricia the Lions are Going to rebound Go Lions
Does jeff now get a c- because he was traded
Almost got me with only an A for Burrow.
I think Tua has to be around an A- especially after this year's hot start. They have their face of the franchise, that's gotta put you in the A range. I can respect a B, but personally feel he's done better than that score would reflect.
@OttawaRocks
Жыл бұрын
Not a Dolphins fan and 100% agree. The only risk the Dolphins took was drafting Tua in face of his pre-existing injury history. So if Tua befell similar injuries then one could downgrade the Dolphins scouting staff's performance, assuming the Dolphin's management/coaching staff had taken reasonable steps to keep him protected. If the Dolphins management/coaching staff had not taken reasonable steps to protect him then the scouting staff still get their A- draft grade.
@olliecat4562

@@OttawaRocks something a lot of people overlook this year about Tua was that he didn’t sustain any physical injuries this year. He hasn’t done that since I think before his Bama hip injury. He is also now learning jiu jitsu so that he knows how to fall which should help prevent his head injuries and a few physical ones. I think that next year he won’t get injured and will have a true breakout campaign with his great weapons and a should-be stellar defense to back him up.

@theonewhogotaway6384

Very specific
I feel like you were a little too harsh with the C grades on Young and Jeudy. Young had a very promising rookie year and although he has been hurt the past two years, it doesn’t mean he was a poor pick (which is basically what you’re implying by this grade). I also firmly believe that Jeudy is the 3rd best WR in this class (behind JJ and Lamb) and has shown so much potential and characteristics in his game ( like the footwork and route running) that only the most elite receivers have, and I think the fact that he has shown both and more at this young of an age proves that he will be a force to reckon with in the future. The poor QB play also doesn’t help his case so if anything I think both players should be a B- at minimum and an A- at max. Call me crazy now but in the future these two will be the faces of their respective franchises and you’ll think it to be insane that anyone graded either of them as a C pick in their drafts
I thought M Becton would be trouble before they drafted him .
I feel like this draft overall could've been a lot better if there weren't as many injuries to players like Chase Young, Mekhi Becton, and Jeff Okuda. Also the Henry Ruggs incident doesn't help.
I understand the Tua grade, but as a Dolphins fan, I would hope for at least a B+ given the season that he just gave us
Watching this video makes me happy that the chargers hit on Oline 3 times in the last 3 years.
Me immediately scattering to the comments after I first heard burrow an A and Herbert an A plus
Oh yooh
Big Joe 👍👍👍👍
Jeff left Detroit Lions!!!
Im bracing myself for the incoming herbert hate
Derrick Brown is so good
Personality is one of if not the most important thing to consider in draft picks so giving the raiders an incomplete on Ruggs is bogus
I was About to pull up to your house when you said Joe burrow was an A. Who dey!
Burrow is an A++ 😳
Chase Young is no better than Aidan Hutchinson, but he won rookie of the year
Herbert won a super bowl I forgot that’s why he a plus
I definitely did feel like Derrick brown was a bust let’s see if he can take another leap this upcoming season
Raiders draft that year with that many quality picks has to be the worse draft in the history of league. Only one ☝️ players remains on the active roster .
Umm what..? Jeudy almost had 1k yards this season, and that’s considering the fact he missed 3 games, and played 5 minutes of the 1st quarter against the Texans lol. Plus he had to put up with Hackett and Russ who bout heavily disappointed
I agree with the A+ for herbert but no need to make excuses for his shortcomings as a prerequisite.
Sometimes I wonder how the 49ers would be if they got Wirfs instead
Tua has shown that he can be a really good quarterback in the NFL it’s just all a matter of him staying healthy
You can tell what kind of player somebody is off the field before you draft them. F on Ruggs
