Rebuilding a Graco pump can be a tricky business if you’re not sure what you’re doing. You mentioned soaking the packing? In what and for how long? Does the paint lube the shaft packing and throat oil lubes the top packings?

Do you need older parts to rebuild a graco 395 older model or new parts compatible?
Fantastic video! Thanks for making it. Maybe you can help solve my issue? After rebuilding the pump it still won't prime. You can hear the balls both moving freely and it's very clean inside. I've disconnected the line from the pump to the filter housing. Nothing comes out of the pump. You can feel some suction if you cover the intake hose connection with your hand. You can see the piston moving like it should, the motor sounds like it always has. I'm not sure what the issue is. Planning to call Graco tomorrow morning. Did you have any ideas?

@@brandonwreggit7728 Yeah! The washer between the pump and intake hose was damaged. It couldn't build up the suction. Lol super minor thing that no one mentioned.
