I like Woody's take on aging, oh, and Grace is indeed still beautiful, inside and out ... “In my next life I want to live my life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Grace Slick is one of the greatest female rockers of all time. Damn what a voice and always spoke her mind in her music. Talent as great as hers doesn't come along that often and definitely doesn't last as long or have the impact and influence hers has had. I guess there will always be the jealous types to ignorant to get her message but that's their loss. They are so small and unimportant it doesn't matter. She's left her mark and her place in rock history ....

A Brilliant Talented Woman !

Grace Slick was a beautiful iconic singer of my youth. I was not exposed to drugs, yet was very disciplined and very naïve. She was this beautiful teenager who had a beautiful voice. No American Idol then! Her outfit at Woodstock was absolutely stunning and she was gorgeous. Now that we all have the 60s behind us, it is a shame to see the affect drugs have on the mind, plus Mother Nature is not kind to us at all. Too bad some people are not either. I remember her for the good things she delivered in a very iconic artistic form. Love White Rabbit.

I can still see her old beauty in her eyes.

I have to agree with Shirley D, two comments down. My admiration for Grace is enormous. She was a beautiful young woman with a voice that was magic. I read her book and what a life she has had. She was smart enough to take the advice of a friend about how her fame would not last forever and to save and invest the money she was making, she took that advice and to this day she is a wealthy woman living in Malibu.

To all that think she is Arrogant, She Has The Credentials and Has Paid the Price !!! That gives Her the Right. Plus, that's the Way She Has Spoken, always !!!

I just think she is an amazing human being. With all the years of artistic success as well as all the personal struggles... she is still alive and doing well. Her artwork is incredible! I find it sad that the first thing people (some) go to is her weight. Seriously? With all she has done THATS where you go to first? First off... I am pretty sure Grace does not notice your childish remarks. Second... I'm sure what you or I think of her...she could care less about. This is a woman that has earned her "I don't give a shit" crown. What have you done with your life? Where is your mark on the world? What are you passionate about? You don't have to admire how a person looks but you do need to behave like a decent human being. You can also toss in a little respect for a person's life work. Thanks.

You're damn right about Gracie being opinionated and perhaps arrogant, but she was always the brightest one on the bus and it's obvious she still is. It's too bad the millennials will never be able to understand how things were back then. For one thing we were trying to stop a war (Vietnam) that Tricky Dick (Nixon) insisted on dragging on. If you knew a thing about Nixon you'd get how funny and how really great that would have been if Grace could have spiked his tea. And yes, many musicians got on lists, had records banned or were forced to change lyrics all because they may have a verse that someone thinks referred to drugs or sex. Sorry younan's Grace and the Airplane are about the best you can ever get and by the way when was the last time the people who put out music that you like now helped stop a war? Oop, sorry, you're too busy taking selfies..............

She's a little bit cocky but it's a forthrightness that is attractive, not least because some of what she remembers is recounted in a tongue-in-cheek, leg-pulling kind of way. I loved her and their music when she was in her pomp, and i like those paintings on show in the film clip. People should have creative, expressive habits to please themselves and others and to enjoy life while we still have it.

The 60"s were not all peace an love dont want to go back in that again

I'll never forget when I heard "Somebody to Love" the very first time. I was 15 and fell in love with that voice. When I saw a photo of Grace a few months later I thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world! Jefferson Airplane was amazing; especially when I started dropping acid! Then I turned 60 this week. Wow ..... what a long, strange trip it's been. LOL!!!!!

WOW ! Would I Love to meet this woman ! She is speaking what I feel in the same age group. What a refreshing down to earth person ! Thank you for being so REAL !

Great interview; Airplane/Starship ; amazing stuff. I was a DJ in the late 60s and early 70s and still appreciate the work they did for all the decades...

I was lucky enough to see Grace Slick, with Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead in concert together in Montreal in 1967, what can I say, iconic, an artist caught up in a wave of social change and performances that last in people's minds, still beautiful Gracie!!!

I think Grace Slick is one talented lady but I am also glad she's not my next door neighbour.

I am exactly her generation. I have some friends long dead by suicide after taking her stuff seriously, a bunch of others still on anti-psycho medications and some others who have messed up their lives and their families with their weirdness. She acknowledges none of this. I watch her now with a feeling of strange, empty discomfort.

micah brew What stuff? The whole idea that psychedelic drugs were good for you, that they "feed your head." She used her incredible personal attractiveness when she was young to recruit a lot of us, and she spent years pushing it. She still seems to find nothing wrong with it. I think, listening to her now, that she and the plot have gone off in different directions, and maybe that's why she still can't take any responsibility. At least Paul McCartney knew there was a problem, when he denied that Lucy in the Sky was about LSD.

everybodsy is responsible for their own choices! Kooks will always be around to get your support. You decide to follow or not. I took a lot of LSD in the 60's and a little in the 70's but I always had control of my senses. Not everybody can handle life without help! I survived because I was an adventurer, not a sheep!

I am just glad she is still among us, in her best glory.

Really nice how a hugely talented woman is speaking in this video and all most people can talk about is her physical appearance. Why people can't understand that people age? She was beautiful then and beautiful now. Love you, Grace!

Stuck in a moment...Slick is sick. She should watch Woody Allen's 'Midnight In Paris'. It addresses the notion that the times we live in are somehow inferior to others and that we would be happier there. Drugging and Boozing and free Sexing in the 60's set the table for many of today's troubles.

I love Grace..She was beautiful and had an excellent voice, but to put acid, any amount, in someone's tea, coffee, what have you isn't cool at all. Someone placed acid in The Beatles' and their wives/gf's drinks at a party. Cynthia panicked. She called her trip a nightmare. Actually, the Beatles were pissed off and who can blame them?

She really should've dosed Nixon.

What a class act. She thought it would be funny to drug an older man, put his life in danger, not to mention a country, all after accepting an invitation for tea from his daughter? ***** Yes, I was around during the Nixon era. His was the first election in which I voted and, yes, I voted for him along with most of the rest of the country. So what? What the hell has that got to do with anything. Forget that it was the president of the United States. How could you do that to any human being. You wanna jam drugs down your own throat, shoot 'em in your own veins or burn them into your own lungs ... have at it. I think you're a damn fool if you do and Slick sure proved that right with what happened in her life. But, hey. Go for it, if that trips your trigger. Grace Slick has been my Idol since the 60s / I am a rock singer and have been compared to Grace and the key word here is compared, because no one could ever stand in her shoes.. as far as great singers in rock go... She had the most incredible range and voice her tone that vibrato and just her style... none other like her.. i am honored to be compared to her in anyway ..having not seen her in 30 yrs. i was shocked at first by her appearance but when she spoke i fell in love with her all over/
