Grace Kelly Slept Around So Much That It Ruined Her Career

Did you know that Grace Kelly cheated on Bing Crosby with Marlon Brando on the night of the 1955 Academy Awards ceremony and that her mother chaperoned her during the filming of John Ford’s Mogambo because she didn’t want her daughter sleeping with costar Clark Gable? When one thinks of beloved Golden Age Hollywood starlet Grace Kelly, they likely think of her as the epitome of class and sophistication. However, although she certainly had a sophisticated sheen on the surface and knew how to carry herself in high society, the star also had a penchant for sleeping around that clashed with her image. Thankfully, Grace’s bad behavior came to an end when she married the Prince of Monaco during her mid-20s. Before that, Grace Kelly slept around so much that she almost got kicked out of Hollywood!

Some of the many stars that Grace Kelly hooked up with during her relatively short Hollywood career include Gary Cooper, Clark Gable, Bing Crosby, and Marlon Brando. Grace hooked up with Gary Cooper on the set of the classic Western High Noon. Gary was nearly three decades the burgeoning actress’s senior, and he was also married at the time. The next year, Grace reportedly pushed herself onto costar Clark Gable during the filming of the movie Mogambo.
In 1954, Grace Kelly started up an affair with costar Bing Crosby while they were filming The Country Girl together. During the affair, she started a competing affair with Marlon Brando. Join Facts Verse as we explore how Grace Kelly slept around so much that it ruined her career.

either that or people cant stand hearing the truth about people they adore and think highly of and cant face the logical fact that many people have a dark past and that Hollywood was a make believe place that sold audiences a dream that they wanted to see and believe but in reality never existed, the woman was human not perfect and really this is no surprise considering all the other celebrity secrets like Rock Hudson Marlon Brando Randolph Scott Liberace Loretta Young joan Crawford james Stewart Spencer Tracey Catherine Hepburn Marilyn Monroe Cary Grant and many many more, the studios shielded these people so they would be bankable to them their image had to come across as squeaky clean wholesome etc to sell pictures etc, had people known how they really were behind closed doors they wouldn't have had careers so it was hush hush and public relations and the studios who greatly influenced the press back then that kept the fairy tale alive and well but now people are more open about many things and the truth just came about and out, its nothing to be upset about because people should know or should have known that nothing and no one are what they seem and before becoming entertainers these were just regular people from all walks of life like everyone else and that's just reality, also why try to drag the men involved? it was her choice regardless of what they wanted she could of said no but she didn't so its on her not anyone else

Clark and Grace Kelly were technically single when they became romantically involved. They fell for each other during filming, and the romance continued after shooting. Apparently it ended because of the age gap. I think Gable never allowed himself to feel true love for someone else after Carole Lombard died, and, as we know, Grace Kelly didn't live a happy life or had a happy marriage in Monaco.

Seriously annoying how many more times the narrator says the one name he mispronounced Ray’s last name. Infuriating how the announcer was so comfortable in using all those sexist pejoratives to describe Grace Kelly, and not one negative word about all those married men (who were the ones actually committing adultery), and slept with hundreds more women than Grace Kelly slept with men, especially since she was married at the ripe old age of 26. Of course she didn’t sleep with Bing during the second movie! You think she was stupid enough to risk her marriage to royalty for a fling with an old married man AGAIN?? Get real!

Grace Kelly paid Prince Rainier a $2 million dowry be his princess. Monaco was in desperate financial straits. Grace Kelly saved Monaco from being subsumed by France. Aristotle Onassis, on a financial hook with investments in Monaco, engineered the marriage to a Hollywood star to save Monaco - a move to attract stars, celebrities and monied hangers-on. (Marilyn Monroe was considered briefly then dismissed as being too unstable.) It was an unhappy marriage Grace regretted all her short life.

I'm surprised the Prince decided to sire Grace as his royal wife. Probably he hadn't known her sordid alias with Hollywood actors but was drawn by her lustrous beauty and well-poised reputation. After their grandeur wedding in 1956, looking more like a 1930s movie musical with all its extravagant splendor, she paid the heavy price of living a boorish and tedious life of a princess unhappily. It's a regrettable choice to pursue a monarchial life over a movie career for Kelly.

@@isabelbeckerman9226 Grace's decision to become a princess astounds me. And she had to cough up $2 million for the 'privilege'. As do all these social climbers who think the royal life is something special. Wallis Simpson perhaps the best known for the miserable existence she endured after realising her dream of marrying Edward VIII. Megan Markel seems headed down the same pathway. Grace did indeed have a lustrous beauty, seemingly at odds with her well documented carnal nymphomania.

@@richardcassidy9536 It's only a matter of time before Prince Harry will soon regret marrying his tart for a wife and accept the realization their marriage is in shambles and, despite having lovely children, have to part ways. Markel was always a star-struck wannabe, thinking she adhered to the monarch's life with the Queen and the family by marrying Harry. Instead, their union causes differences and hardship within the Royals, especially between Harry and his older brother William. Like the marriage between Edward and Wallis, Harry and Markel are living a lonely life and are in exile in California. But upon my word, soon they will call it quits, and both will lead separate lives.

Rich and beautiful people enjoyed bedding other rich and beautiful people! Wow shock horror, hold the front page! Grace’s real misfortune was that she was dazzled at the thought of marrying a prince ( a rather pudgy faced unprepossessing one at that) of a principality that is smaller in area than Central Park. She kissed a prince and woke up with a frog. Married at 26 and dead 26 years later. Really sad

She was young, beautiful and talented and wasn’t looking for any serious relationships with these men, it was just a fling during filming. Maybe not the most professional behavior but surely not warranted to be labeled in an unflattering way that the video did. I say good for her because living in an ice palace with a unfaithful prince 🤴 isn’t all that great especially in a foreign country away from friends and family. Glad she had some fun at least before. Ray Milland's last name is a 2 syllable pronunciation. The first part is MILL (like a WindMILL and then the word LAND. Don't run it all together as though it's one syllable. The real reason Ray Milland didn't marry Grace Kelly was because her parents stepped in, specifically her father who was around the same age as Ray Milland. He may have even been a few years younger then Milland. The Prince of Monaco forbid Grace from continuing or acting career he said it was inappropriate for the princess of Monaco to act in movies. Both Grace Kelly and the Prince of Monaco cheated during their marriage all her Hollywood lovers used to visit her in Monaco. The prince knew about it didn't like it but he was cheating too so tit for tat. They had what would be termed today as an open marriage but it was kept on the down low. The Prince of Monaco did love her dearly and left openly at her funeral. He never remarried and warned her for the rest of his life.

You left out Cary Grant...with whom she starred in Alfred Hitchcock's "To Catch A Thief" and the affair continued even after her marriage with frequent trips to Cary's Paris villa. Grace was a Scorpio, PASSION. She had broken her engagement to Oleg Cassini to marry Ranier. Hollywood is tolerant of such behavior....in fact, it's expected. Bing Crosby attended her wedding and was a frequent house guest, along with his beautiful wife, Kathryn Grant....who Grace playfully played tricks on. (e.g., invitation to patio party, in which Kathryn wore a chiffon gown, while it turned out to be a BAR-B-QUE with everyone dressed in shorts or capris. Naughty Grace lived a good laugh!

No she was not a woman ahead of her time. She actually took women backwards. She gave up her illustrious career because she thought she was "in love." That is what women do and it sets them back. The man gives up nothing but the woman is expected to give up her career, her independence which comes from making her own money and her power which comes from having a separate life from her husband. By giving up her power, Grace was forced into perpetual bondage as the "princess of Monaco." She later found out being the princess of Monaco was not all it was cracked to be. She was not even allowed to accept movie roles that were offered to her later in her years.

If true, he must have been well into the sauce at the time. Another story about Niven was that during the war the future Queen and Prince Philip came onto a ship he was on, and Niven said, "Christ, she's brought that bloody Greek along!" I don't know if the story is true but find it interesting Niven was never knighted - perhaps the remark, if he made it, was remembered.

anna marcaletti, Grace Kelly's life did not go downhill, and she had a wonderful marriage to Prince Rainier, from 1956 to 1982. Unfortunately, she died in an automobile accident, in 1982, after suffering a stroke, while she was driving. Her 17-year-old daughter, Princess Stephanie, who was a passenger in the car, survived the accident unscathed. After Princess Grace, passed away, Prince Rainier, NEVER remarried, and this says a lot about the LOVE that he had for Princess Grace.😍

The late great gorgeous and talented Princess Grace obviously had a very healthy sexual appetite in her 20s as her hormones must have been raging as well. But, Grace's narcissistic parents were old school. Her father was a self-made multi-millionare and they were "Irish-Catholic" on her father's side and German background on her mother's side. They wanted to see their daughter settle down, get married and have kids so dutiful "Irish Catholic" Grace Kelly did just that! The marriage in the end was not a happy one and Grace let it be known that she would have "divorced Prince Ranier, a French/Italian Catholic, but she didn't want to lose her kids which is what would have happened! Both Grace and Ranier had affairs outside their carefully arranged marriage and the rest as they say is her/his-story! May they rest in peace~

You are very insulting to Catholics, the Irish and the Germans. These people had decent morals and didn't want their daughter acting like an animal, mating with anything that wore pants. Don't know if you have children, but doesn't sound like it. If you have a daughter, I assume you will not be "old school" and encourage her to sleep around a lot. That's the modern, anti-Catholic, anti-Irish and anti-German parent way now, right?
