This version of Slave to the Rhythm is in my top 5 Grace Jones' performances. Absolutely mind blowing. For the record Jones was always committed to performance art, in her music and her videos. Highly recommend her version of Edith Piaf's La Vie en Rose, and any performance from her "One- Man" show from the early 80s.
Island Life is a fantastic album....Love Grace.

Island Life is a greatest hits album so I would hope it was good!
Not a fan of the Royals, ignored this stuff, so never seen this before...but that was truly amazing. Looking up Grace Jones' records immediately.
My Jamaican Guy next please 🤪👍🇬🇧
Her version of "La Vie En Rose" is very good. Her "I Need A Man" is also very good.
I like it that you paused it on all the bemused celebs.
Grace Jones is one of my favorites. So many great songs, but live, she is a tour de force. Check out Demolition Man on video.
What a song!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
A couple of classics from early Grace Jones: "Walking in the Rain" and "Pull Up to the Bumper" (both from 1981) - live performances much preferred! Later, "Corporate Cannibal" (2008) is shockingly fantastic. If "Slave to the Rhythm" wasn't your cup of tea, I genuinely believe any and possibly all three of the songs / performances recommended here just might do the trick.
Love❤Grace😂 one of my 80's favorites, I watch Pee-Wee Herman's Christmas Special🎄 every December, Grace sings the "Drummer Boy" it's wonderful, check out "Pull Up To My Bumper"😮 great song👍I loved how avant-garde she is. Peace✌️ and Love ❤️ Gary😊
She went to bed with James Bond, wonder if she brought her hoola hoop with her. Need to watch that film again, might be in the outtakes!
