i cant relate mine was a rapist of teenage girls. although i didnt really have a mother either cause shes a dope head and goes on and on and on about how only her problems in life count. my granmother was the only one there for me who raised me. Although at times even she made me feel like i should be adopted shit happens life goes on.

this song gave me the courage to finally tell my dad that i’m having my step dad adopt me. thank you.

Man, I pray for anyone listening to this and feeling this that God replaces your father in your life and that He shows you a father's love and how much He loves you I wanted to also encourage you to forgive and let go, it sound awful and difficult but honestly it's the way to heal and move on. I couldn’t relate to this song more!!! I’m a guy and my father left even before I was born. Tried to get back in our lives (my mum’s and mine) when I was a few months old. She saved the disappointment by telling him to go away as she knew he wasn’t gonna stick around. And he didn’t even try harder to convince her. All my life I was raised by my auntie and my mum. Later on, when I was 18 (24 currently) he managed to find me on social media. Refused to meet him at first but then I thought I’d give him a chance. Regretted it the moment he turned out drunk and could barely speak. There’s no hate, although I always knew he was out there somewhere and I sometimes wished he was around, I considered him dead to me from that moment on. It’s easier to deal with it I guess.
