Hi Catherine! It takes a little practice to feel confident with the blocks. My first time didn’t go too well. I use dots of both white glue and hot glue. That seems to hold the best. I also reinforce inside seams with the hot glue. It definitely takes time and patience. I loved your domino holders. They turned out great and I can image how useful they will be. Don’t give up! Try some more and you will be surprised how cool they are to work with. Thanks for the shout out. Hugs friend! 🥰🤗

I tried both but then realized can't necessarily mix them has to be the separate dots the gorilla wood glue will work but you just have to hold them together firmly for awhile which is where the separate dots of hot glue come in handy

I love the super glue wood glue. I get it in the automotive section at my dollar tree. I have always used it on tower blocks. Like another subscriber, I use a brush to apply. I have better control of how much glue and where I put it.

It took forever for me to get comfortable using the tumbling tower blocks, i use the gorilla glue, but just a little. And wipe the excess with a baby wipe, also let it sit for a bit before moving on. I never use hot glue because it can leave gaps and not hold as well! Keep up the good work, you have some great ideas!

I bought needle nose squeeze bottles from Hobby Lobby---six in a package---and wrapped maskin tape around 2-3 of the little squeeze bottles. One says wood glue and another says craft glue and one says super glue. The plastic cap for the tiny needle nose is attached to the bottle so it never gets lost. I use the wood glue from the tiny bottle all the time because I can control the flow. I love paper crafts and also do quilling and Iris Folding. The tiny bottle works so well when just a speck if glue is needed. Try it out. The little bottles are about the size of a lipstick. Happy Crafting!

Any wood glue will do, the trick is to give it time to set up before trying to move it. You’re just getting in a rush because I think you are nervous. You’ll get it, just give it time. You also should not quit wiggling hot glue touch, just like in the 6000 can’t touch. I’ve never had good luck with hot glue and tumbling tower blocks. I just get a mess they don’t go together well.Hang in there! 🥰

I always have to order a case from their website. It’s free to ship to the store. My Dollar Tree has the wood glue, but it’s more cost effective to buy it by the gallon or larger bottles. It’s better to not bother with the hot glue, cold wood glue is the best for these blocks. Once the hot glue got wet with the wood glue it cooled it down and reversed the intended reaction. Wood Glue is the best for the blocks by far!! Try it with just the cold wood glue and I promise the outcome will be much better.

Use a very small amount out wood glue, no special brand, and be patient 😊it doesn’t dry instantly. Glue your pieces together & let it sit or clamp them together for a tighter bond.

I love DT's wood glue. I have found that I have better results when I glue the entire thing at once. You are able to see instantly if the blocks work together. Also any glue left on the blocks won't take the paint well. I run a sanding block over it.

Hi there... I love the projects. I would use less wood glue and use a brush to spread it onto both pieces you will be sticking togethor. Also, when using both hot glue and wood glue try to not let them touch each other because they will cancel each out. Also, I like both gorilla wood glue as well as the super glue wood glue at the dollar tree. Dollar tree also has wood glue in the craft section also...I dont like it at all. Thanks for the inspiration...

Hi there, the superglue brand wood glue will be on the automotive isle at the dollar tree. And I use a small, cheap paintbrush for spreading the glue. I actually try to use the little red ones that come in kids dyi kits so I can just throw it away instead of cleaning the glue out of the brush. You can clean it though if you wanted to. Fun visiting with you. Have a great weekend!!!
