Some of us need an escape from the calamity that is the U-S of A. Personally I feel there a ton of major voices and celebrities far bigger than KZreadrs that still haven't spoken on the situation at hand. These "stars" so many put on pedistals as though they live and know you all personally. Actors, singers, models, "Queen Bee's" and what not. Somewhere down the line we lost focus on what truly matters, and put value, trust, and our hard earned dollars into things and people who at the end of the day don't relate to our REAL everyday lives and ultimately don't have your best interest at heart. And why??! For the simple fact they aren't you, and they won't be affected by this when it all comes crashing down, point, blank, and period 💯💯💯

I am a single mother of 2 working 2 jobs and still dont have enough money to put food in the house, SNAP has helped me and my children get through every month and if anyone who is a parent like myself loses SNAP how will we be able to provide for our families? This wall on the border of Mexico is unnecessary, no matter what Trump does those who want a way over will find a way wall or not. Stop taking from the CITIZENS of the United States and focus on helping us instead!

When you work for an agency, where they have occasional lay offs, you plan ahead, This didn't just happen. They were aware there was the possibility, months ago. Even though 2 of us were working, we would put away money for the mortgage, and stock the freezer. That way, my check was enough to see us through. If you don't do this, it is you, who is the fool.

People say GET A JOB I get food stamp I’m 19 I work 2 jobs while attending UTK college as a full time student w/ 6 classes originally an orphan with dreams of becoming a rn nurse. I still need food stamps. I have only me and I work hard and for TSA and I get nothing. Not a check, ebt as of next month or a cash app nothing 😢 . I’ll be living in the dark and cold house in a city averaging 20-30degrees...Trump happy I’m sure

Try a factory job. If you work at a food plant they often have employee stores you can buy food at. A big bag of cereal for 25 cents, spaghetti noodles for 25 cents too. Premium boxed cereal for a dollar. All a lot cheaper than the store. And factories often pay more than min wage

We moved out of cuckifornia to the cheaper Midwest state and things are much better. Housing payments are half of what they were before for a higher quality house. He’s making more ratio-wise and actually picking up skills in his new job. Cheaper utilities. We are gonna make it👌👌👌

Hey guys, for some this can be infuriating- the loss of benefits - but instead of debating politics on the internet, if you are fortunate enough to donate, perhaps go to your local shelter, food bank etc and donate some food. Even less than $5.00 worth of canned food from your local grocer can help! Our family was in a horrible situation a while back and we depended on snap benefits for 8 months. That was a trying and scary time for us. We were grateful for the assistance and now always try to pay it forward. I am thankfully financially secure now and in the place where I can help. (Also, its a good learning experience for the kids!) Just a thought.

Brand New Bike There's too many heartless people out there and the dynamics on the how and why someone receives benefits. My family doesn't but did years ago. Where my daughter works she collected groceries for our local pantry to help those in need. Now local pantries are trying to help those who will be affected by the shutdown. It feels good when you can help someone in need but some people out there are too elitist and racist in their view to care for those less fortunate. Have a great evening.

TANF, HEAP, and heap means you only pay 10$ for electric and gas each. TANF and EBT takes care of food. Food is pretty cheap if you can cook yourself. Can't afford rent? move to a lower cost of living area until you can get job skills that pay you more money. For example, where I live i own a 4 bed 2 bath house for 625 a month. That's less than a 1 bed apartment in any coastal states.

Linda Bibb i‘d Start looking for local food banks & shop at bargain stores. I don’t believe the shutdown will be over by then. However many stores also carry products past the sell by date for as low as 4/$1 I don’t remember quite what they’re called. Aldi is also an excellent cheaper store. I’m so sorry you have to go through this, I hope for the best!

A school mate told me that he worked at a gas station and people would buy lottery tickets with food stamps..

I’m so scared.. my parents are both handicapped and I don’t care if I starve I just want them to be okay!!! This is all so scary I feel like something bad is going to happen soon..

He also took the funds from California wildfires. He said no money for wall he won't waste the 12 billion yearly state of emergency funds for Cali wildfires. Blaming the fires on who are in charge of the forest... Says they are reason for wildfires because they are not doing their jobs. So Cali could possibly burn completely down with no funding to maintain these ongoing fires.
