I think salary is not a correct comparison between two jobs. I am a senior officer in the army and my son's in IIT B ( CS) & daughter is a clinical psychologist. My closest frnds from school are an IIT B (AE) & MIT ( Corporate in US) AIIMS Opthalmologist....passed out in 1983! Believe me today as we are closing in late 50's....I feel that my life has been wonderful with amazing experiences...ofcourse the stress is a little different but if you are mentally n physically fit then it's not difficult....the CTC is AMAZING and no private job can compare it. The pension and medical facilities apart. So I guess finally it's perception and experience which matters. I would say that government jobs are a place where if you are honest n dedicated you can really pay back to your country. We all crib a lot about the conditions in our country n the only way you can improve it by a government job. So i after having done 36 years in uniform ( which i am really proud of) i feel my kids also choose government jobs. God bless. Note Views are purely personal.

I know a lot of people in army living in Delhi cantt who don't work at all and most of the time they are on vacation or tour to usa , Europe,Thailand ,UAE. I wonder how do they afford it being in army . Those are army officers . Their children are too in usa studying masters . So I don't know if they are corrupt or anything else but I doubt their work and they hardly do work .

You say the CTC is amazing but even the most top positions which are chief of army, navy and air force have a salary cap of 2.5 lakhs per month. Which is actually not that much compared to seasoned professionals in the private field. Now i am assuming u surely weren't in the chief position, so your monthly would actually be a lot lesser than that. How exactly is that salary amazing ?

I'm not sure about the sections you created in Pvt sector. But I think S/W developers are much well paid than MBAs, this is purely on my personal experience. I'm a Staff S/W Engg with 12+ YOE and I'm making around 1Cr (60L Base+ 7 retirals+ 12 AVP + 23 Annual stocks) My colleagues who went into MBA with top tier (even abroad) are paid as equal or even a bit lesser than me. Unless like you said, one lands into that TOP noch consulting (which might be 0.00001% of MBAs) most of them are into some Business or S/W management. Below are some insights about me I'm not from top tier college. I have not done my MBA or Masters. I've taken a career break for around 1.2 years after 10th year in IT. In that break, I was pursuing UPSC=> I cleared Prelims but failed in the mains. (that was my last chance for UPSC, considering my age eligibility-32 years) After failing the exam, I jumped back to IT. I passed out in 2008, from NON-IIT college and my starting salary was 3.2 LPA. Had taken several short career breaks apart from the one (1.2 year) above. I'm not even from a CITY background. I did my schooling in a village Govt School, then earned a free Govt seat in some decent Engg College in local district. I was not even serious about studies till 3rd Year of my Engg. Finally, I'm a female. Mother of 7 year old boy. (THIS MATTERS so much in your career path, trust me) I work from home since 2020. I work around 8-10 hours in a day. Occasionally 12 hours and Weekends (when there are serious work issues). Now imagine if one had a decent studies and career path, unlike me, with laid back schooling and so many career breaks. Again, this is purely from my personal experience and info around me.

Purely in monetary terms, I will be in loss if I opt for MBA, because in next 2 years my salary will be much higher than average MBA Fresh graduate ( even from IIM ). Plus I'll be losing 2 years of experience and not to forget hefty IIM fees. My friends who went to IIM were those who did not like coding or other jobs they were doing or they didn't get placed because of low employment in trades like civil engineering etc. No one went to IIM purely for money purpose

You talked about MNREGA mutiple times in a proud manner, but the ground reality is that the village pradhan and village people just show the work in documents, and the money for the same gets divided between pradhan and village people without actually doing any work. This is what I have heard from multiple sources when I served in rural area. On ground implentation is something which needs 95% attention and 5% attention in poilcy making or planning, but reality seems to be other way around.

I am working as a Group B Gazetted Officer under C&AG, and I encourage people to invest 2-3 focused years in preparation rather than becoming trapped in the corporate world. If you aim for a secure lifestyle with ample holidays, perks, respect, and less workload while having enough money to meet your needs, consider this perspective. I am confident that those unable to secure government jobs will always aspire for private jobs. My friends working in TCS, INFOSYS, MRF, and IBM often envy my lifestyle and the amount of free time I have compared to them. No matter the salary package, you can never compare the lifestyle we live. I, too, was trapped three years ago working a 9-6 private job with a decent salary, but satisfaction was elusive. Private jobs are all about work, work, work. Harsh Facts

Grass is greener on other side, thank public of India for affording Government employees who never consider themselves as Government Servants, even politicians we know have double standards, look at them pre election and post elections. Minimum Government and Maximum Governance was the slogan of BJP but it has yet to become evident and BJP is facing great challenges in this regard. Future of country is in privatization. I am a doctor in private sector and look at the difference in service level of private hospitals and government hospitals, even if you see cost wise, it is costly to run a Government Hospital as compared to private hospitals, that is the reason that CGHS and other Government panels find it cheap to get their employees treated in private hospitals and pay than opening own big hospitals like Ram Manohar Lohia hospital or Safadarjung hospitals Delhi where even Government employees do not want to go, only poor go who do not have money, Government hospitals are thriving on taxes of hard earned money of Middle class who do not go to Government Hospitals and pay premiums of health insurance, only 4% Indians pay income tax

I am a Manager in PSU bank I agree with what she said, along with salary component bank gives so many benefits like NPS contribution, Group insurance, LTC, LFC, less ROI on loans ( only for bankers) etc, these are not part of payslip. But when compared to private sector there is much difference of pay nowadays. As the uncertainty grows in Private sector as of now government job is better

Dear ,Akshat Thank you for making this real video . One thing I want to ask to ma’m that what are the future /life opportunities (or motivation)for a soldier who is not in a group A service and working 15 hours a day ,getting salary just to live a life , working on a very sophisticated systems that not even built in India , doing extra work (as an order imparted by his senior officers) without any extra incentives, following some dumb and British era rules on the name of “ORDERS” ,not giving time to family & not even getting post retirement jobs opportunities, not getting and career progression like private jobs or group A govt jobs ??? Should he prepare himself for private jobs after retirement age of 41-42 , should he prepare for govt job for job security or should he become an entrepreneur ? Because at that age he doesn’t have any chances to take risk or to do experiments?? This is the question from all technical cadre of three armed forces ,pLz try to reply . Thank you for your videos .

@@abhijeetsavant8914 salary growth is fast paced in government jobs if you are working for SBI or RBI SEBI NABARD, etc at direct recruited manager level. House building allowance is not a loan. Its lumpsum yoiu get. Its free money you don't need to repay it back not as EMI nor as anything. In government jobs you live in state capitals. As an aspirant its your responsibility to choose government jobs with these perks accordingly. If yoiu are not from tier 3 college forget working for the so called companies mentioned by you paying 50 lakh base. Many top 100 rankers from average colleges in India are stuck in service based companies earning peanuts. Salaries of product companies, its 50Lakh CTC and 15 LPA base, same as what bank PO gets. You need to fund your entire family health insurance from your salary not extra benefit like government job. If you select IRS, RBI, SEBI NABARD, PFRDA etc as your target government jobs, you wont be ever posted in remote or rural areas. Promotions are fast paced and merit based happens through internal department exams. So your myths about government jobs are rejected.

However, the exposure they have is immense they get their jugaad wala perks in some jobs like revenue services or auditing services they are most likely to be picked up by the corporates also because corporate companies were doesnt really understood how the government functions. so they hire them in their companies and then they will clear their files through their newly hired civil servant who worked earlier in the system and he will help to clear the file with his friends and jugaad.
