Those zones are non populated due to the lack of water in those areas. Out of all the water on this planet only 3% of it is suitable for drinking, and every human alive needs to drink water in order to survive. Hence people will populate areas which have drinking water, and over time those areas become overpopulated, leading to overpopulation issues.

Man, I thought we had a problem! Then desalination plants and conduct systems and things are solved :) We are not Dubai so we are saved. We have a lot of space in Earth. The only "overpopulation problem" is we are for bunchs together in little cities and not populating the rest of the space. If it's an administrative issue then the solution is money generating more working places (and money eventually and working wealth) and building wider cities were there are not. I don't know why we think vertically and not horizontally. Edit: just reach soon summer and we still have cold drops.

In reality we have enough resources to provide for everyone and if we don't, they just wouldn't be born. It is possible that providing for a large population would suddenly exhaust world resources and result in an environmental collapse. But in this case we could just decrease consumption among the top 1%. Also, what is more likely and realistic, is that corporations are exhausting world resources for profit. If they had more care for the environment, the Earth would be fine. Currently the reason the population is increasing, is the corporations need more workers. Thus the decline in population in Japan is a crisis for corporate profits. But imagine there is mass automation through AI and suddenly a lot fewer workers are needed. The government decides to implement UBI to sustain people. But now they have no need for billions, and overpopulation is suddenly a problem. The corporations want to stop paying UBI and just get rid of the people, but without protests. They could also sterilize people or use a one-child policy. But since resources are enough for everyone, people wouldn't accept it, and would rise up. Therefore, they make the people get rid of themselves.

It did not suck them in or not release her when she actually went too it. Seems like they are a Solar System capable Civilization, with no real space presence, Terraforming is not something they are capable of, or is with in their ability to do in a reasonable time. A lot of these things Humanity is expected to do will have to overcome the fact that the people paying for it will never see it come to fruition. 1. In Western/European mindset, the notion of annihilating the entire world is found only there. Nowhere in our ancient traditions or among our tribes do we encounter such concepts. These ideas are not only absurd but also demented. Anyone who believes that the Earth "can" become overpopulated is misguided. In the manuals passed down through generations in my people's tradition (I won't disclose which tribe or era for their safety), we have tested this theory over ten thousand years ago. We have found in our traditional experience that the Earth "CANNOT" become overpopulated because death serves as its equalizer. Nature maintains a perfect balance, which is why the lifespan of "man" and "mankind" (two distinct species) has been reduced due to changes from era to era. Man could live up to 150+ years in this current world, while mankind, under certain conditions, could only reach at best 125 years if artificial means are used. In the current world, mankind's lifespan (125 years) has been dramatically reduced to around 80 years, whereas man, by reason of strength, can live up to 100 years. Our writings, among the oldest tribal groups, reflect a shared wisdom and knowledge, which disproves the overpopulation concept of Earth's Agnacarnia. It is up to both groups to fight back against these demonic ideologies being pumped into your societies. Now choose your destiny? See you all in 3 years!
