Let me get this straight. Some of them want to kill a couple of hundred people to save resources to keep the rest of them alive long enough to come up with a solution, right? They don’t want to tell the people because it might cause a panic, and they have sent imprisoned teenagers down there to see if its habitable. Why not tell everyone and then have a lottery and send a few hundred people down to earth and cross their fingers that they can survive there? Or not tell everyone and just send a bunch of people down there, i mean, they are going to kill them anyhow so why not give them a shot at life? And whoever thought it was a good idea not just to send teenagers but to send criminal teenagers has about as much common sense as the plot of this movie. Or they could have sent adult criminals instead of putting them to death. Or cut back on everyones caloric intake, people have survived on starvation rations when necessary, they don’t have to go that far, just cut down everyone’s food intake by 30% or even 40%.

Starman... HM.....I don't remember the steering wheel being on the left...like in Europe. The car is a Mustang with Wisconsin plates. Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side? Cop car chasing them has the steering wheel on the wrong side too... The cook that gave the alien a ride....;his steering wheel is on the wrong side too...Whens they hitch a ride... the truck has the steering wheel on the wrong side, also. I can't get a good look at all the cop cars at the scene. It appears that someone has done something to change positions of things. How very strange.... Is this maybe a Mandela effect thing going on?? This was one of my favorite movies from a long time ago !

Reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode. The crew thinks that they landed on some desert planet when in fact they actually crashed in a desert on Earth, not far from the launch site.
