    You could try, but I would say use an HDMI sync box instead. There is a 100" version that Govee now makes of this lineup though!

    Is it not too close to the edge? Won't this cause too much light bleed? Mine's coming today so I'll probably set it up tomorrow. Thanks for the video.

    Are you able to connect to it via the app and run calibration? I was able to connect, but calibration wouldn’t work. I figured out that it needs to be on wifi to calibrate and it lacks an antenna, so it needs to be almost on top of the wireless access point

    Any suggestions for a 50 inch TV? I don't have nor want a bigger screen in my living room, but have been considering backlighting for my existing TV. I really like the way the T2 handles it. Seems better than using a sync box.

  • @TechYourLife1

    Sadly I don't have a good suggestion for that size of TV now. Govee's gone bigger, not smaller in terms of sizes offered. You COULD try it and just do a little bit of wiggling with the strip on a smaller screen. I don't think the 5" would make a difference camera wise but the strip would obviously be a little long. Likely 1-2" per side right? So I think you could navigate that too. No guarantees though ok?

    I had the same issue. @joshj827 I don't know why, I have 30 some odd devices, some that are on 2.4Ghz and some on 5Ghz, and everything else works fine on those networks. What worked for me was to turn the wifi Hotspot on my cell phone on, enter those credentials to get through calibration. Then once set up I changed the wifi setting in the govee app to use my normal 2.4Ghz wifi network and now it works fine. Just have to make sure Bluetooth is on to connect if you need to make changes.

    I ordered this on Amazon, then I decided to watch a set-up review and I came across yours. I immediately cancelled my order when you said it has to connect to a 2.4 Ghz wifi network. Thats a bummer... I'm looking to add some LED lights behind my TV, but thanks to spectrum I only have a 5 Ghz network.

  • @TechYourLife1

    @TechYourLife1

    That's very odd to only get 5 GHz WiFi in this day and age. You'll find almost every smart home product that's not a camera or speaker uses 2.4 GHz WiFi. I would assume that 2.4 GHz WiFi antenna could be turned on on your router

  • @crapdog30

    Every modem has a 2.4 GHz signal. It is standard. In fact, you would probably get better coverage then 5 GHz. Five is faster but are affected way more by walls blocking in the way. 2.4 is the actual standard for a lot of the internet of things and every modem will have this.
