Georgia has a law that for a child 12 and older has to go through a gun safety course to get a hunting license. I took my son when he turned 12 and it was the best gun safety and hunting course I’ve ever attended. I too feel that you shouldn’t be pressed into it, but nobody would go if they didn’t.

Growing up in Montana, it was just part of the high school government curriculum. Going through all the amendments, when we got to the 2nd, the whole class would go to the rifle range and learn and practice and be graded. Understanding the weapon, safety and proper and responsible use while training to be able to use it to protect each other when the time comes. I thought this was a nation wide thing, until I left the state. One would think having an entire nation of responsible and trained citizens in the use of firearms would be considered the biggest deterrent to invasion inside and out, and the trust in each other to always have your back but alas, ...guns apparently possess people to take them on shooting sprees and everyone is terrified of them and eachother, and so they want to get rid of the 2nd Amendment. It just....really boggles the mind to me.

She has apparently made so many wonderful REAL, improvements for the citizens of SD; with all the initiatives for the Trade jobs. And I love how she supports guns and how she brought in all the gun store owners and promoting competitions. She also honors REAL heroes of her state. This is HOW IT'S DONE! Governor Congratulations on your success and your states success. I may be 70 years old but I do know that with a positive approach to solving any problem is positive thinking and honoring our forefathers and letting the people take responsibility for their life. If I could make a suggestion. Give your older citizens the chance to help. A lot of older people may not be able to do most jobs, so let the older citizens share any crafts they may have with either younger people or even kids. Then when a craft is finished give them a place to share and sell what they have made. I am sure you have thought of this already but I just thought I would bring it to your attention in case you hadn't. I do hope you would consider running for President in the future You are a woman I would be proud to support if you do. As a Utahn, I am impressed with the way that Gov. Kristi Noem is concerned about the citizens of her state and not the political gains that are so infectious in the system. Utah's Gov. Cox is just the opposite and needs to take a lesson from SD Gov. As a Country the US needs more leaders who are concerned about the citizens and not the corporate greed, which most state governments are concerned about. As a country, the US needs to do away with corporations and focus on helping the citizens to have a better way of life. She is someone that I would vote for if she was on a National ticket. If she becomes a candidate for VP, this is someone who I could truly feel good about voting for. Let's hope she stays true to her values and not back down to the corporate greed and the corruption in Washington DC, and the evil there. Kristi: Do you by chance have a twin sister who longs to be near Lake Michigan? If so, give her your Playbook, and send her to Illinois to run for governor here!!

Governor Noem you are absolutely the real deal. Thank you. And to the residents of SD you are truly blessed with a beautiful part of the world. My wife and i vacationed there in 2000 and again with part of our family in 2005. Im a retired truck driver, after 43 years, some over the road, some regional and some local driving. My wife and I never had a honeymoon and always talked about some day going to Hawaii. South Dakota is our paradise and surely the winter months there would possibly change our minds on that but even so its possibly wonderful winter paradise as well. I live in AL and do not like the cold. But I would be very tempted to move to SD simply because of Kristi Noem. She is an amazing governor and human.
