It is totally wrong whatsoever for any governor to seize any local government funds. Local government across Nigeria deserve independence operations just like state. They are not created objectively for the selfish interest of governor or winning party. The power of governors in Nigeria are to much, authoritarian and selfish. There should be clear distinction between law and selfish interest of politicians.

I totally agree with you but let us understand that in developed countries for example the United States that we copy majorly our system of Government from , municipalities are under the state. Without bias you will agree with me too that the local government tier is a settlement tier for political associates/thugs . Hence it cannot be fully independent. I believe the first correction would be to conduct a proper local government election that would enjoy it’s legitimacy from the electorates and not political godfathers
