What's up with his beaks? Are they constantly in that small cage or do you let them out, too? Do they have cuttlebone to chew on?

Already transferred to a bigger cage.. I do let them out on day time.. I don’t know why it’s beak became like this.. any advice please?

@@bhangzbirdsandparrots Give them cuttlebone, you can get it on amazon or in the pet store. It's oval shaped and basically made of calcium, they will chew on it and the beaks will wear down :)

Hello, I have two gouldian finches and one of them makes a very similar performance, while the other one never sing, neither dance. Furthermore, looking at their plumage, seems that the one who is singing is a girl. And furthermore, it's not a breeding season for them. What do you think?

hi bhangz i think may scaly mites mga gouldians mo. try to look for scatt sa mga pet stores. you can also carefully trim the beak and file mo ng kaunti. enjoy your gouldians

Hey appreciate your comment, I’m gonna look for that..thank you! I actually didnt know what to do I have given them a cuttlebone cause someone told me so, and I have tried to file the beak already..it was not easy though they’re biting so hard.😢their beak is better now..my female starts to lay an egg..😊

@@bhangzbirdsandparrots glad to be of help. congrats on the eggs! it's good that you were able to file their beaks so they won't have a hard time feeding their chicks. mites can be a reason why they can't breed properly. try to check at night if you can hear clicking or wheezing sound while your birds are sleeping. sometimes mites are the reason why they abandon their eggs/chicks. canaries and gouldian finches are prone to scaly mites infestation.

Why the beaks so beat up ? Man U gotta give them a lil more space than that cage bro cmon how would u like it if u was them ?

It looks scaly face mite? I would get some avimec from your pet store and treat all the birds, I hope he gets better.
