How can one person be that attractive and that talented. Sigh.

I always admired a singer who can perform better in live performance. Gotye is one of them. This song is really good, i can't stop listening to it. My favorite song so far from him. "i could not help myself, i was giving up on living" "and you gave me love, when i could not love myself" "and you help me help myself"

I realized that he didn't pronounce the word 'love' in the verses and he replaced it for something I couldn't understand (as I'm not a native speaker) am I crazy?

Fábio Machado It goes «I could not love myself», and the second time it goes «I could not help myself». If that’s what you meant.

I know that this is 8 years later but Jake Allen sings it by himself and what he does with his guitar hurts your brain!! I heard it in paoblo colorado at an art institute with the accidentals who are from NORTHRIN michigan were I reside. Both are great but the Jake version happened in a very dark scary time in my life, when I was ready to throw the towel in and checkout! "When I could not love myself" hearing that verse made me feel like someone knew what in was going through. Sorry for along response an F in decade later !!!!

I felt so loved

One thing I love about him is that even if it's live it still sounds amazing. I've seen some live preformances and you can tell that in the studio they autotune it. It's really fantastic to see that he still has the same voice.

One of the few artists whose voice sounds great live without all the studio tweaking.

Me hace acordar tanto a un novio que tuve de adolescente allá por el 97... Es tan parecido... Siempre se quedó en mi corazón parece... Tengo que reconocer que me gustaba mucho la música de Gotye mucho antes de ver los videos... En Argentina mucho no se lo conoce mas que por Somebody used to know.... Es bello y un músico muy talentoso .... Espero que alguna vez pueda venir a Argentina 🇦🇷 y poder escuchar su música espectacular en vivo
