Got the Autocar Home

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We got the Autocar moved to my house today. Trip went well unlike the Diamond Reo move. I clean all the garbage out of the cab and wipe the dash down. Fixed a couple air line leaks that i thought would fix the high low shifter being stuck in high range but it didn't. thought spool valve was stuck but it was fine then took apart the high low valve on the shifter. even though it was redirecting the air to shift the trans it was leaking a little too much to make the shift. one seal in the valve was gone so i ordered a new one then took a little run up and down the driveway.
More to come. I have some ideas on what i want to do but what would you like to see?

Well you asked. I've always been fond of the idea of making a truck a quick change so you could keep it versatile. Maybe the wheel base isn't long enough. Are you going to add a wet kit? @@73DiamondReo The driveway won't Kill Ya, but it's a Bad Practice if your out on the Road and running Heavy as that FRT/Tire Blows, I had picked up a TRL and ran it too Laredo Texas, from up in PA, on the way back I picked up a Load of Bourbon Baked Beans in FT Worth TX, I was to take it to Boston Mass, in Kentucky I Pulled up on the Scale and they waved Me out Back, just to find out 2 of the brand new tries on the TRL had the Caps come off in the Rain the nite before, if it was a FRT/Trier I would have known it!

The Guy is right. And it doesn’t have to be a blown tire or even on the road. The wrong kind of bump or a wheel caught wrong in a rut can snatch the steering wheel around and damage fingers. You don’t even have to break fingers for them to take months to heal sometimes. Do it right all the time and your muscle memory will help take care of you in a pinch. Good luck with that Autocar. You will have a fine truck when you get it sorted.

@@73DiamondReo I'm guessing if the truck has been sitting awhile...and if a valve is connected to the activating cable...the ether cylinder itself is no longer usable or mice could've chewed the wires....it actually depends what brand valve it is...
