I mean all characters on pretty much any show I’ve seen do things I don’t like and it’s fiction so it’s ok, but she was honestly the only character who wasn’t out doing horrible things to the others. I know some people thought it would’ve been a plot twist for her to be gossip girl but I don’t think she’d secretly be that mean to Blair, Chuck, Nate, Serena, etc.

I know right? I wish they didn't put them through so much ridiculous drama, especially all that BS with WVDW and the fake cancer storyline. Lily and Rufus deserved better, and I would have rather seen them end up together and happy in the end rather than Dan and Serena. I believe they could have found a way around the obstacles, that were mostly made up of their different upbringings and opinions regarding money.

Heard rumours that they broke them up so that they could continue the “Serena and Dan” storyline without it being “incestuous”, but in my opinion Lily and Rufus should’ve stayed happily married, Serena should’ve ended up alone (find independence), and Dan should be with Blair (or have time to get over her).

The issue of Taylor Momsen playing Jenny Humphrey is that Taylor wasn't being devoted to the Jenny character as she was being Taylor on the show. By not separating herself from the character she plays, it limited what the writers could do for her character. Because as an actor, you have to efface yourself for the character you play to show. The producers were very supportive of Taylor influencing how the Jenny character looks and acts, to the point we were left wondering if we're watching Jenny Humphrey or Taylor Momsen. Now that Gossip has been off for 7.5 years, we can say Taylor Momsen is not good at multitasking. What she could've done was still be herself outside of the show and enjoy her music career while playing the real Jenny Humphrey character in Gossip Girl. But we don't know what she was going through and how exhausting it was for her to work in showbiz juggling schedules, while trying to build a music career and express her individuality, so it's easier to say what she should've done.

I think I also read somewhere that she's was trying to get fired because she was so done with TV, she hated it. She wanted nothing more then to play her music. I was actually listening to Taylors music before I watched the show. I used to get confused when people used to call her Little Jenny in the comments, then I did some research. When I finally watched the show I couldn't believe it was her in the first season!

She was pushed into the industry at a young age by her parents. She started GG when she was 12. She was locked into a contract when she was a child and the last thing she wanted to do was be on the show. It’s good that the writers were able to write her out so she could move on.

It was unfortunate that she wasn’t interested in acting because it influenced the show. I don’t blame her for not wanting to fulfill a contract she signed at the age of 14 though. She was a teen and she was forced to do something she didn’t want to so her behavior is understandable.

Taylor Momsen was a child actress who was exploited by her stage mom. I'm pretty sure that the song "Make me Wanna Die" is about her mom. That's why she behaved so badly. Like many child stars, she didn't have parents who parented her. That's why so many of them go down a bad path. No parents, no one to love them, treat them right from wrong, abuse and exploitation in Hollywood, the effect of fame on the psyche, and bad influences and temptations all around. I think all child stars deserve compassion and help.

Chuck and Blair were the most interesting characters of the series . It was so thrilling to watch their chemistry ❤️

It is hard for us -gg fans- to admit that clearly even when on screen this actors were so good and they had good chemistry, it looks like in real life there's a lot we are missing out. Which is sad bc we love their characters and we'd love a gg reunion or at least more interaction on social media. It's hard to tell what happened when they don't talk about it and when we can only see what they show... but I think the best thing you can do is support them individually. After all it's been 8 years right? At some point they must be also tired to been ask for the same show and the same things...

i honestly think nate and serena are the real endgame, no hate to dan but i don't really like him.

Watching it now. Let's admit it it's not realistic and some characters are so shallow but we still love it.

From the outside looking in, the only person (from the young cast) that even still has appreciation for the show/fans is Ed Westwick. Everyone else seems embarrassed by it and makes me sad as a die-hard fan of the series.....10 years later.

I don't think they're embarrassed by it, I think they're exhausted by it. GG took up 6 years of their lives (their choice) and they lived it. So when it's mentioned all the time in interviews etc I think they feel like they haven't escaped it. I'm sure in time they'll show more appreciation for it ☺️

I’m not looking forward for the reboot because it’s all gonna be new cast and none of the original except Kristen Bell, the voice of Gossip Girl. I ❤️ Ed and Leighton.

Honestly chuck and Blair are everythingggg! There scenes when they were together had so much chemistry there surely was something there in real life not only on Ed’s behalf but also Leightons💖

I wish Blair and Chuck could stay together in real life. They make such a nice and beayiful couple.

I am pretty sure that Ed and Leighton were together in the 4th season but I don’t know when it ended. Because I remember a photo of them in a cafe and they went to a Prince concert after that. And we were hearing things about them being so close from the fans who visit the set.

I watched the entire show and all the season years ago, and started over because it’s so good. I normally never watch shows twice- but it’s all brand new- and I love it!

Leighton is very happily married and expecting second child. Ed is in a relationship with a model from South Africa and they seem happy. Their chemistry on set was off the chain, but they are actors playing a part and boy, did they do theirs well!

I've watched it twice during quarentine lol.

This show would be nothing without Blair and chuck and their various escapades. They were so fun to watch and the rest of the cast/characters just couldn't compete.

I screamed when she said .. she flirted with another man..imagine flirting with another man when you have ED WESTWICK

Serena and Jenny were the most annoying characters in the show . I didn’t like them even a bit lol Blaire, Chuck , Éric and Vanessa were my favorites
