I read articles from the director himself he said they were friendly but not friends, Leighton was quite in between sets and was doing her own thing and how they have different personalities but never hated each other. Something like that :)

they didn’t not like eachother, they just weren’t close in real life, like they were in the show. blake was more of the it girl and was very social where blair was less popular because gossip girl was her break out show where she first gained popularity. they were just very different and weren’t best friends outside of the show. there wasn’t any drama though.
