Poor my baby girl 😫 please stop worrying Annie & please eat!! 🙏 Not just Nene & Ai, Shabani too have been spoiling Kiyomasa since he was a little. Shabani just realized that his son need to be corrected but it's a bit too late now that he is already used to have his own way. Annie loves his daddy more than anything, he is the one who always look out for her since she was a baby, when her own mother Ai refused to take her. I hope everything will be back to normal soon 🙏😢

I sure hope they do devise one. They need to separate Kiyomasa and maybe even Annie for some portion of the day to help reduce stress; I hope that is the only thing wrong with her. Maybe let Kiyomasa have his own space with his mom and Annie spending some portion of each day with him.

This is how my family reacts after a heated argument. Gorilla's are 98% related to humans and this is very showing

I feel so sad for Annie :( She just wants everyone to be together again. She really took down Nene! I feel sad for Kiyomasa too, he must feel isolated and stressed.

I haven't watched these guys for about a week and was so shocked with her appearance especially in such a short time. The video I saw her in she looked kind of out of it too. Poor girl she is so sweet. I sometimes wonder if I should keep watching these videos . My heart gets too invested and eventually events and age etc. will happen

I agree! Shabani has been sitting back and watching Kyo for months. Shabani is so smart I was waiting for the 🔥 to come. I believe it is time to move Kyo soon. Shabani will hurt him. Also time for new females for Shabani and more babies. He should have so many offspring by now!

アニーの痩せ方が…、 モモタロウが風邪をひいた時も普段元気いっぱいだったキンタロウが家族の異変を感じ取って食事を取らなくなり、動けなくなる程痩せてしまいました。 ゴリラって本当にデリケートな生き物なのだとつくづく感じます。モモタロウ一家は風邪で一波乱ありましたが シャバーニ一家の方はキヨマサの思春期によっての家族内の亀裂となると、落ち着きどころが難しい感じがしますね。。また仲良い関係になるといいですが とにかく今はアニーの体力が心配です、回復して欲しいです。

アニーは、パパもお兄ちゃんも大好きですもんね😞 いつもの元気いっぱいのキヨマサに戻って、兄妹、父息子のじゃれあいが見れますように😢

お腹がへっ混んでしまって、疲れて、幽霊のように歩く姿は、痛々しい。 とても繊細なことが良くわかります。 キヨマサは勿論、シャバーニも困っているでしょう。 アニーは、人間に育てられた経験があるから、京都のゲンタロウと同じように、どこか違う部分があるのかもしれないと感じました。

Annie always takes Shabani side in fights and if Annie starts messing with Nene and she gets mad Shabani still takes Annie's side. Japan is so lucky to have this amazing Troop of gorillas. I wish they where in America I would love to go see them.

Annie has a score to settle with Nene, nice take down girl..Of course she will always be daddies little princess, he has been there for Annie from day one. Kiyomasa is Nene's little prince. Kintaro will go through the same thing Gentaro did.🤔 Anyway got sidetracked, Annie is not looking healthy, I think Kiyomasa got caught messing around with her & Shabani lost it, guess we will never know as they can't talk to us.🤣 These 3 zoo's & Chiba have no idea what the hell they are doing. I pop over here now and then but I love the dynamics of the D'jeeco troop & they have a beautiful enclosure so the boys can rough & tumble without getting hurt. 🙋

@@sonjavandam1306 hey there mate, yes I agree. Genkie has done her part in her life.. why put her through all that again even though she seems to be willing... It really is all she has... But I don't think she has the health to have another offspring. People just want the cute factor and something to follow without realizing what it does to the mother especially in Genki's case. You know Kintaro was going to go after her the same way Gentaro did as he gets older... So in my opinion, Kintaro should be her last, otherwise it's all about the money and the draw of a new baby. As far as Annie is concerned I agree something is not good with her I'm sure she is going through the same stresses with the fighting with Shabani and Kiyo... Everything was going so well with those two they were still playful but now things are changing and hopefully the keepers we'll find ways to motivate them to eat at the stressful time. I know Annie has lost a lot of hair in her youth she used to pluck it off her stomach... But it's very easy to see it's not hair loss, she's definitely down in weight. Shabani's exhibit is far larger and the troop can be rotated to give Kiyo some alone time. I don't think he should be around Annie or rotated with her, because Kiyo has certainly had his way with her if you get my drift 😉 we can only hope the best for both troops, and that things will work out. If Kyoto does have some animal loan agreements between them and Taiwan, now would be the best time if possible. ✌️👍

I noticed Annie's weight loss on the last 2 videos, If the zookeepers could put out fruits and yogurt bottles for just one meal, it could get them back together by eating something special and maybe it'll get their minds away from the stress that caused the disturbance. Kiyo was so human like hiding the other day, I find it so amazing how close they are to our behaviors. Annie is a good girl just trying to stop the nonsense, and I'm sure that Kiyomasa did something disrespectful towards his father who is king and should be respected. Shabani is a loving father and I'm sure it's hurting him as well.

I think Annie is sick. I hope she gets well.

Nene has always been overprotective of Kiyomasa, and was vicious toward Annie when she was a baby. It seems the original fight was between Shabani and Kiyomasa. I'm guessing Kiyomasa overstepped his boundaries and thought he could take on Shabani (think Winston and Frank). Kiyomasa is what about 10 yrs now? He's feeling his oats and Shabani's not having it. He's still in great shape. Gotta admit though Nene may be old but she's still a force of nature. That was a helluva block by Annie. No one hurts her daddy. This disruption seems to be longstanding. Poor Annie is too thin. A healthy gorilla, an herbivore, should have a big round belly and more muscle mass. I'd hate to think what happened to Genki doesn't happen to her. For Genki she was down to 65 pounds and had chewed off at least 2 fingertips before Ueno zoo sent her back to KyotoCity Zoo. I think they need to separate Kiyomasa to an adjacent area that still allows family members vocal and scent interaction so Kiyomasa still knows he has family support. Annie's situation is more urgent. She needs to go to hospital asap for resuscitation (hydration and caloties). Remember how fast Momotaro went down in 2021 from a reaction (diarrhea) to meds for wound care. She should have contact with Shabani for emotional support. I'm sorry this is so long. I'm very upset that a solution to a preventable situation appears to be lagging and lacking. These animals go down fast, and the loss of poor Annie is not acceptable. More important to the zoo, if they do allow this to continue it will damage their standing with the gorilla conservation group and their ability to acquire more gorillas. Japan has only 19 gorillas left, 5 of which are elderly, and all the rest are genetically related, therefore no breeding females in very finite genetic lines.

Not too long! We love these troops and most of us have a lot of empathy towards them. They don’t speak to us so we have to watch their body language. I remember poor Kinny so weak and not even breast feeding but looking up at mom for help. Such a hard time.

So glad you’re sounding the alarm at high decibel. I hope somebody hears. It certainly does bring back how fast Momo went down, nearly all the way, and Kinny and Gentaro were so utterly distraught. And the extreme damage to Genki arising from her earlier trauma. Gorillas are as sensitive beings as we are and always attuned to family dynamics. A number of the keepers were watching thru the windows at the outset, which seemed like a good sign. But no follow thru that we’re able to see. Fingers crossed.

I completely understand the distraught over this situation. It's heart-wrenching to watch. Please keep in mind the zookeeper have a fine line to walk on when to interfere and that there may be more going on than what we know.

There is no family without conflicts. Especially in such a small society as this one. But all these quarrels end in peace and harmony, Shabani is a wise and intelligent guy.

I have seen other zoo's give them honey water, maybe they can get them to eat if they give the something different like fruit for a bit. Annie's stomach in actually concave. This fight must have been a lot worse than we have seen off camera.

Annie appears to be dealing with the family stress by not eating. It’s similar to when Kintaro wouldn’t eat and lost a lot of weight when Momotaro was sick. Maybe put her and Kiyomasa in an area together to see if they will eat because Annie will soon be too weak to move if she continues this much longer.

If Annie is drinking water then maybe they should give her protein smoothie instead of just water. They aren’t intervening in a way to help her. At this point, she should be in a private room receiving care instead of on exhibit while we watch her wither away.

The fact Kiyo is acting this way speaks volumes about how generally good Kiyo and Shabani's relationship is. He is so shocked by even a bit of intimidation from Shabani. Shabani likely only rarely flaunts his 'alpha spot'. So it comes as a shock to Kiyomasa.

I think him and Shababo were playing and Nene thought big ole Shababo was attacking Kiyo and decided to hiss and take a fake whack at him which made him mad. Nene is known to be super over protective of Kiyo.

@@deniied5414 Maybe, but I think Kiyo's sustained reaction says Nene wasn't the cause for Kiyo to want to stay away. They have chased Shabani about 1000 times at this point, and this is the first time Kiyo felt the need to distance himself from Shabani for weeks before being able to bring himself to make up with Shabani. That's just a red flag for me that whatever happened really messed with Kiyo for a bit. Maybe they were playing, but Shabani for some reason decided to use his full strength for once and it just messed with Kiyomasa. Maybe he picked him up and threw him or something. Gorillas will do that when proving they are alpha sometimes.

I think is time to move both of them 🤔 because the son he is turning to be and adult the Dad wants to fight territory is sad to watch them.i had followe this gorilla family seen there were just little it has been almost 6 years. And now is sad the sister feels bad for his brother I think is time to move sister and brother to a different place 😢 💔 😔 😕

Yes. This is one family that will be devastated when one of the members dies or leaves! They have a very strong bond! I’ve seen other troops fight but that doesn’t stop them from eating!

I feel bad for all of them. I can't say much about Annie's weight, but when Tayari was Annie's age, she had that exact same body. It's possible that it's because she's young that she looks too thin, but I'll leave that up to the zookeepers to decide. It's possible that Kiyomasa is getting to the point where he either needs to be completely submissive to his dad or to live in a bachelor group.

Or maybe Kiyomasa need's to stop " playing" with his sister. It's the only thing I can think of that would make Shabani act like this. Body language says they look guilty. Just speculating.

You know.....maybe Annie goes to Ai, because she is asking if it were the right thing to do. To stop Nene. It's a shame that close family like Shabani, Annie n Kiyo, must leave each other.😢 it is natrual for them to do.....but when they are ready. This is why I am passionate. I've been passionate for 30+ years. I would have been an advocate for all primates....but my life suddenly went into a different direction. Anyway, the gorillas, chimps Oranitange, all, need more stimulation because they will never be in their natural habitat. Bigger enclosures, balls, boxes, deer, pools, swings. All these things if we don't teach them simple sign language. 😮 Enrichment.

It was very hard on Winston when they had to take Frank and separate him. They were all very upset, I haven't watched them in a long. The difference in that situation is Winston is elderly, no one will take Shabani down. He is young and prime. In the wild Kiyo would have been booted out by now

It is not unusual for a teen male to test his father. But, it is very unusual for a gorilla to stop eating and lose weight unless they are ill. I hope the zoo is running all the tests they need to. Gorilla can get a very serious digestive illness. Some in one of the German zoos had it. Annie looks very sick.

I seriously think some parents could learn from Shabani! Not the physical but setting them straight part.

Their respect for the personal space of others is impressive. Of course, they really need a spacious enclosure, they are mobile animals, although they like to rest. They seem very dangerous and wild from a distance. If you look closely, you are impressed by their love for their relatives. They are very big, scary and direct and sincere. Nene is very difficult, she is already old. I often see how hard she breathes. But she is the wisest of them, and it seems as if Shabani obeys her?

Kiyo is the typical teenager when they've had a fight with dad, sulky.

My fears are coming to a horrible reality, these zoos have to relocate these boys now. It would have been better sooner than later. Everyone not wanting to break up the families this was going to happen with females there, I don't think there is no coming back at this situation. I thought it was going to be Momo and Gentaro first. I have seen many videos when in the wild silverbacks start to challenge it does not end well. They fight to the death and or die from the injuries. This is very upsetting

Saying everyone's is resting and started eating and hopefully Kiyo has learned who the boss is. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Do they not know how horrible that was on them and so lucky it didn't escalate today, what about tomorrow? So foolish, any plans about when the girls time of the month is on? Lol , Can they at least get a Plan ready for WHEN it happens again. I loved how Winstons zoo handled it ,plan ready and executed smoothly. No harm done just Winstons ego and pride a little bruised. I faithfully watch the Momotaro family and I know they are planning on putting Gentaro, with Annie. He is such a wonderful and beautiful gorilla! @@cricket9629 Hi Cricket so sorry so long to answer you. Kiyo is coming of age and if in the wild he would be leaving to find his own family or hang with other males. There is only one |Silverback in charge, Kiyo may feel the urge to challenge his father and take charge. It is a very violent battle and only ends when one dies or runs away and they can die from injuries. It is natural part of life for them. Kiyo maybe got caught messing with Annie which is why he should leave anyways as they are related. He could have been disrespecting Shabani and Shabani is putting him in his place. Only the silverback in charge can mate in the troop. It is just a dangerous situation that shouldn't be stalled as it will happen, I would rather the arrangements be made for a new home. There is males coming of age that should be in new places and females also before inbreeding happens. I hope that helps some, if anyone has some input or corrections on any of my info would be appreciated for Cricket.

What happened to Annie's belly? At 4:33 it looks like she has stiches. Did she have surgery?

This video is from February 2023. At this time, Shabani and Kiyomasa had a fight, and Annie lost her appetite because she was worried about them. Her stomach became flat. No surgery was performed.

Not only is Annie super skinny here, she also seems to be missing little patches of hair. Fighting, stress pulling, or nutrient deficient? 😟

I'm new to this channel and I have to say that I have never seen a gorilla as skinny as Annie. The zoo needs to run tests on her and find out what is wrong with her. I see food all over their enclosure, so neglect is not a factor here. Please look into this issue. All these gorillas look so stressed out and tense all the time, at least in the 6 videos I've watched.

Poor Annie is missing her partner in crime. It’s so incredibly sad to see how upset this family is. Kiyomasa is so afraid of his father 😢. I don’t think Nene overreacted at all. That’s her baby boy. No one is going to hurt him while she’s around. Also, Annie is a daddy’s girl. She’s always going to take his side even if she thinks he’s wrong. I’m the same with my father. I really thought things would be better by now.

Nene always undermined Shabani started with kicking Annie, so can imagine if Shabani didn’t defend Annie from her rage? . She definitely overreacted and her actions made discipline Kiyo worst than needs!

@@stevemorris6790 it seems like it’s kinda common for the moms to interfere when their kids get disciplined. Genki usually yells at Momotaro and Tayari has chased D’Jeeco down for holding Jabali down. I understand why they do it but it does undermine the silverback’s decision.

Just proves how sensitive Gorillas are. They hate conflict. Worries them seeing a change and problem between each other. I feel bad for Shabani and Annie. Shabani is no doubt teaching Kiyo a lesson because maybe he is challenging Dad's dominance and needs to learn who the boss is. Nene spoils Kiyo too much and he is use to always getting his way. Sadly, that will make it harder for him to submit because he is use to always getting his way with her. Shabani is a great Dad and very patient, playful and loving to his Gorilla-Kids, but, there needs to be order and shabani is the one responsible for keeping the peace & order in the family. Whatever set Shabani off and made him so angry now has Dad having to show his dominance and harder side to stop bad behaviors. Sweet Annie seems to be the only one who understand Dads reaction and reasons for everything and shows her love and support for him. She is a very sensitive soul, just like Shabani is. No doubt Shabani is deeply upset for this situation, but he has to hold his ground in order to get everyone back into line. Well, they have a great way of working out their issues in the group and I feel this will resolve as time goes on and once Kiyo submits a bit and Nene backs off, maybe the two guys will be playing like usual in no time. Kiyo is at a tough age. All those hormones, changes in his mind and body going on. But, I think he must have made a huge mistake if he was trying to dominate his dad or maybe he is acting too rough with the females and trying to overpower everyone. ( those damn ego balls teen males get..ha! ) We miss so many "behind the scenes" things that happen off video in a 24 hour day. But, whatever led to this must have been building up and maybe it was just the lat straw, Dad has a hard job and needs to be respected as Boss. He must have reasons to be so stern now and I think they will be ok in a few days. The staff is watching them closely and im sure have the confidence in the family that they will resolve this issue as they have had to do in the years past. Kiyo, I love you, but just wise up sweetie, dont act too big for that body babes!!! Dad is the bad ass here. Surrender sweet boy! xo

i also wonder, if the females are so upset about Kiyo being down in the basement, why don't they just pop down there and check on him? Why sit at the door? Just curious. ;-)

@@sonjavandam1306 , yeah, well no doubt Kiyo pushed his luck cause they usually get along great. Maybe his hormones are raging and pushed Shabani too far and had to be humbled. Mom spoils him, he is not use to getting his way. Many young GorillaTeens will try and dominate Dad at this age and Dad needs to remind them who the boss is. Not sure what else could have made Dad so set on showing dominance and standing a firm line with him and the Females. Seems like he had to teach Kito a lesson to regain power and peace in the family. But, like you wrote, who knows? Just seems like a likely reason seeing the dynamic and stress in the troop. Im sure things will work out..they always do. He reminds me of a human kid who gets punished by his parents and tries the old "I'm gonna run away, disappear, then you will all be sorry!" LOL! It's how he sits and waits for someone to find him, feel bad for him, but when they don't show up, he then has to show himself so they will run after him and make a fuss as he hides again, waiting for the attention. He just reminds me of a human kid who gets punished and is embarrassed and mad and wants to "show them" and make them feel horrible for what they did & hoping Shabani will feel so much regret for how upset he is. ;-)

It been going on for awhile & that's why I think it is more than that, daddies girl & number one son, they got caught. @@sonjavandam1306 , You would know more then me baby. I'm behind on all my videos and you are great at keeping up and knowing the facts. I was just giving an opinion cause at that age the Son usually gets in trouble trying to overpower Dad for control. But, as you wrote, I'm sure there must be a number of reasons and especially what you mentioned,although, it is also normal in their world for Dad to try and have sex with his daughter when she gets older, so, who knows. I did see Kiyo get a bit rough with Annie and even Nene ,no doubt that got Dad very angry and maybe over all Kiyo has just been a bit of a bully and trying to show off his power and Dad needed to put him back in his place.But, just guessing. I wish the Zoo staff would give some details or opinions because this is a very big change in their behaviors and they know them better then anyone and reasons of why things happen between the family members. Maybe they know exactly what went on to bring this about because they watch them very closely, especially when there are issues ( In a few of these videos, I saw the staff inside cleaning their room while they were outside and there were a few staff members watching the family ) So, I Would love to hear what they know and think. But, I saw a video of Kiyo following Shabani, as if he was trying hard to get his attention. Kind of in a humble way. Like maybe trying to apologize or submit to him. You know Gentaro always sits near Momo. and gives Dad those "sad looks"after they fight and Momo pounces him. Maybe Kiyo is doing that in his way. But, guessing here. I like to hear different opinions on this cause there is no right answer and many great guesses and reasons for their behaviors. Fun to share and read what we all think and we learn through everyone's ideas things we never thought of. ;-)
