I absolutely love the calm, measured, self-assured look in the silverbacks eyes. He knows that if the need arises he can handle whatever comes his way, which makes him so chill..

I can see why gorilla poaching is so widespread. Look at them--they're so peaceful, calm, whole familes with a huge silverbacks & tiny babies tolerating humans right next to them. They're strong enough to kill us with their bare hands, but the most they tend to do is look at this group with curiosity. They're gentle creatures, & poachers take advantage of that fact. It's amazing that they let us witness them so close; they deserve our respect!

I love them too! There aren’t very many of the mountain girls left in the Virunga National Park in Rwanda. I know there are park rangers that are sworn to give their lives to protect these gorillas from poachers. I honestly would love that job. They also take care of the baby orphans in an gorilla orphanage. They are better than humans. Maybe we shouldn’t have gotten the extra 2.4% that separate us from them of dna so we could be more like them. They are beautiful, intelligent, peaceful and emotional creatures. That deserve so much better from humans. I will go see them in my future. It’s on my bucket list.

Africa is really a beautiful place I pray that one day Africans can truly gain control of its country resources and independence.

They truly are such amazing animals. And we can learn so much from them.

I love how incredibly mellow they are when there are no problems going on and there is enough food for everyone. I saw a video of a whole group chilling and napping after a good meal and I just thought, that looks like paradise. Chilling with your whole family all the time, nothing to worry about in the world except finding food. And other animals but as far as I know gorillas don't get fcked with too much but I could be wrong

these gorillas are not the ones you see in captivity. These gorillas are mountain gorillas and non are in captivity because they cannot survive in it. All the gorillas you see it zoos are lowland gorillas.

They’re different species. Mountain gorillas (The ones in this video) are bigger, and a lot hairier. Lowland gorillas on the other hand are smaller and have a more round face.

chest beating isn't what you ad everyone heard on Tarzan. Apes have chests with far more volume and laryngeal air sacs that allow them to make and alter the sounds. Watch Finding Bigfoot- those idiots beating trees with sticks isn't the knocking noise. I can see aliens observing me. Me: Inside the pantry looking for some grub. Aliens: See he entered a closet area where they store most of their food. The interesting thing here is that this is all non-perishable good, while they keep perishable goods inside a box that cools down the food. Genius. You see him looking back and forth between the cereal and oreo's, he is trying to decide what he wants to eat next. Don't get the wrong picture, just because you see no meat here doesn't mean they are not meat eaters, they probably will cook us up and eat us given the chance.

Sad state of humanity these days, that a being related to us is more human than us!!! Hope we never loose them as a source of check in to sanity and true love!

Last time I was at a zoo (Los Angeles, 2008) there was a massive silver back leaning up on the windows of the exhibit, I was able to stand mere feet away and look into his eyes, and it like nothing else I've experienced. It did not feel like I was looking into the eyes of an animal. There was so much more there and I could feel it, I could just sense it. It was definitely a simple but profound moment. I'll never forget it as long as I live. Edit: 9:03 I'm not surprised he mentioned this very thing.

I could watch these beautiful majestic creatures all day long. They are so fascinating and enjoyable to watch. Something special about observing other intelligent animals interact with each other with the same kinds of emotions humans do. Their gentle and peaceful nature, and capacity for empathy, compassion, love, and playfulness fills me with joy. They are surely less aggressive than some humans are, and have twice the heart.

There is a gorilla documentary with a guy that raised a gorilla since it was young. Eventually they had to release it back into the wild. Sometime later he went out and found the gorilla again. The gorilla recognized hi and they spent some time together.

This is an amazing documentary. In the end, he said that he rediscovered his own humanity through the gorillas. They are such wonderful animals.

I simply adore gorillas. It would be a dream come true to watch them in the wild as you did. I'd cry a lot. They're just magnificent.

Very much like gorillas, we humans are generally quite docile and pleasant but if provoked, we can spring into action. I see more similarities than differences between us.

Oh, that mother and baby looking into each other's eyes like that, just melted me into a puddle. How lovely! She was jiggling her wee baby with the same love and movements we all automatically do. I've found myself doing it with dolls!

I am fascinated with primatology, and I think that out of all of the primates, gorillas are my favorites, with the close second being the bonobo. Gorillas are relatively peaceful, and their eyes and expressions are so human. What lovely, wonderful creatures they are.

He is the youngest Silverback ever in history at just a very young age of 14 to break off and start his own family with the help of 2 females. Charles is very large, 425 pounds, is known to possess a huge amount of strength, and is very intelligent and thoughtful. Charles is unique in that his face shows true emotions.💕🦍😘

I love that he explained as much as he could, what he thought there actions ment. That makes it even more fascinating. Thank u:))

18:15 this moment when the mother and the baby are staring into each other's eyes must've been one of my favourite parts, if not my favourite altogether. I myself am very close to my mother and seeing this reminded me of my bond with her. It is truly mesmerising, the relationship between a mother and her child.

@King Charles I'd say it's only "sounds" intimidating because we know what it's coming from. I know if I was walking down a street at night and heard this sound (without knowing what it was from) I'd be confused, but not intimidated.

There's no telling what kinds of videos in my recommended I'll end up watching in their entirety.

Theyre just Incredible animals.. Who would think something so fearsome would be so peaceful. Even after all h poaching that took place in the past. Thank goodness these magnificent creatures are being able to thrive now. Hopefully their numbers continue to grow

There's no record I can find of a wild gorilla ever killing or seriously injuring a human. But given that a silverback weighs in at ~400 lbs and could at least _potentially_ tear you apart like tissue paper... yeah, I'd have to change my drawers too.

Many species even have personalities, if instincts completely ruled their behavior every animal of a species would act the exact same as other of the same specie, for example, there wouldn't be aggressive or calm dogs, because they have the same instincts. You're just really ignorant.

Magnificent and beautiful. I think the first time I realised how loving and gentle gorillas were, was a moment when a mother was holding her newborn to her chest and the infant was getting fussy, wriggling in her arms, and the mother began to pat her baby on the back and rock it. It brought tears to my eyes.

There are funny videos of silverbacks playing with the kids and it’s so funny and exactly how a human father would act. Gorillas are so gentle and peaceful, chimps on the other hand? Only other species besides humans to wage organized war on other animals.

Indeed. Some wild chimp groups can be extremely violent & some will travel & kill neighbouring troops. The Bonobo are the more peaceful. I still love all primates. Some frighten me, though. Gorillas are my favourite. I see more of the gentler side of human behaviour in them.

@@suzc862 Bonobo’s settle arguments not with violence, but with sex 😂. Unlike chimps where the males dominate the females, the bonobos have females in charge and they solve conflicts through sex😆. It’s amazing how we see glimpses of ourselves in them.

I enjoy listening to him talking about the gorillas, sharing his knowledge and helping the Roandains take ownership of all their wild life, knowing that is what makes their country so unique and great!!

As calm and beautiful as these animals are, they are can be savage. There are plenty of caretakers who have had their bodies torn apart but above all they are very calm and loving animals.

@boy Afrika there has been only 1 incident of a gorilla killing a human and it happened in 1910 a man in uganda was suspended in the air with one arm and had his head torn from his body something like this dosent even sound real it sounds like something you will hear in a resident evil game or a movie but that actually did happen a gorilla actually picked someone up and ripped his head from his body if you dont believe me look it up
