It filmed on 05/10/2023. After two and half hours stayed in inside of house, D'jeeco family came out for foraging. As my thought, Tayari felt Iriki was too close her food zone, she wanted Iriki to go away. After this occurrence followed by late lunch, they got along again.

I’ve noticed that Tayaris usually the aggressor an DJ usually goes after her. He is a great Silverback. He an Tayari definitely interact in a way I have never seen. Quite loving an goofy. Iriki is quiet but not at all intimidated by her sister or DJ she’s just quiet an more of a loner. Interesting dynamics

Totally exemplifies D'Jeeco's intelligence and understanding of the dynamics of his troop.

D'jeeco is amazingly intelligent! He had his back to the whole interaction between Tayari and Iriki, yet he figured out immediately who the culprit was and went straight for Tayari. A little suppression to teach her a lesson, and Tayari is up and on her way in moments. It's all part of family life for them, with a great silverback to keep things from getting too heated.

Agree. I think DJ is exceptionally emotionally intelligent and keenly attuned to the individual needs of his troop members. He has great patience with the children and responds in kind to Tayari’s generally more rambunctious nature and Iriki’s quieter one. He roughhouses harder with Jabali than Ringo because he discerns their individual natures appropriately and responds in kind. I think as a silverback DJ is all around amazing. He deals with conflicts promptly and decisively and it looks worse than it is methinks. I’ve not seen anyone get hurt from his discipline, he does his job to establish order and harmony is quickly restored. 🦍♥️

He always plays with his sons and has an opened mouthed smile when doing so.He is a gentle giant.I sense a profound deepness within him.Truly one of Gods/the universe's great and majestic creations. Eu assisti vários vídeos da irmãs quando crianças, e não entendi porque colocaram as duas com o mesmo macho, Tauari batia em Iriki, era um inferno para Iriki, podia ter colocado Iriki ou Tayari com outro Silvetback, mas não juntas, elas nunca se deram bem por causa de Tayari, é colocar Iriki para um castigo eterno, eu se tenho uma irmã assim ela nunca mais falava com ela é não dava meu endereço, coitada da Iriki? é muita passada de pano para ela Tayari, fato, ela está errada, a punição a Tayari é sempre mais branda, Iriki estava com Ringo no colo poderia ter caído em cima do Ringo, que Karma essa irmã da Iriki

It's amazing how fast D'jeeco can move given his size.Did you see the look on his face?! Wow! One can tell he meant business! He trampled right over Ringo and his Momma! He was keeping his family safe.What she did seemed to be out of line.....at least to the one who really matters: the Silverback Buddha.....this time he had to get serious.... glad little Ringo is safe.I feel bad that Jabali had to see his mom in that situation.I wonder if Jabali knows/ had an understanding/ awareness of what happened and why? Amazing how he put a quick stop to the fight. I love how he lovingly ended the fight and calmed her down. Too bad the sisters don’t get along, so much jealousy

本來以為兩姐妹相安無事好一陣子了，沒想到發生了這個插曲😮迪亞哥反應很快，立刻衝過來讓塔莉冷靜，這次的壓制似乎收斂了些🤔小J總是陪伴著媽媽，貼心的寶貝❤

It’s amazing how D’Jeeco had his back to both of the female gorillas but when he turned around, he was able to assess who the culprit was, Tayari, and punished her. 👏❤️🇺🇸

Dj is such a great silverback and his sons will be too as they grow up with him. He has to contend with wives who are also sisters with that extra sibling rivalry.

I was just thinking this too. He has the best temperment. He's s very fair with the girls, patient and protective with the babies. He is an awesome leader and amazing silverback! ❤

Oh my goodness Tayari was eating all by her self and Iriki was just walking by but Tayari to myself sometimes is a little food aggressive 😟😟(something like Momotaro can be). But D’jeeco did what he needed to do to stop this immediately he came out of nowhere and I’m so happy that all he did was to hold Tayari down and didn’t bite her and causing big deep wounds from his big K-9’s.. Little man Ringo was like okay what was this all about I was on mom’s back didn’t you see me you could have hurt me very bad auntie Tayari you’re very bad. IDK 🤷‍♀️ but little man honestly could have got hurt I’m so happy he’s okay❤❤. Hopefully Iriki will not try to get even so no one gets hurt 😢

Great video. I wonder what happened here! At first glance it looks like Tayari became enraged by her sister stopping in her territory. Gorillas have a definite sense of boundaries when they’re eating. D’jeeco’s reaction seemed to mean Iriki did not invade her territory. Gorillas have memories and maybe this was an opportunistic attack while her back was turned from an earlier grudge?

大人們都在翻找自己前面一片草地上的瓜子, 此時Iriki似乎看到了什麼, 有點警覺(她常會對外面的某遊客警覺起來), 背著兒子邊走邊望向遊客, 然後停了下來, 在那裡翻找瓜子, 殊不知她侵入了Tayari的食物地盤, 那裡是T先來的, Tayari對姊姊的侵入總是激烈的反應, 也因此被廸亞哥教訓過多次, 之後她會儘量與姊姊保持距離, 甚至入洞時會讓著她, 但只要Iriki再次侵犯了她認為的地盤, 原始的抗爭本能馬上反應出來. 這兩姊妹無論個性或脾氣, 其實並不合. 就像人類一般, 有時就是會跟某個人合不來. 動物也是有他們的性子及喜好的, 不要說同性相處, 異性也是一樣, 常常在圈養環境裡硬是要將一公一母送作堆, 但他們不來電就是不來電. 北動也有好多這種例子, 多年下來都無法有子嗣.

Tayari and Iriki as children were close in age as well being 1 month apart. Iriki is older and comes from a line of dominant females. Mandji her mom was no nonense but oddly she played with her and Tayari as well as Gyasi Tayari' mom

Did anyone else notice that Iriki appeared to look back at whoever is filming two times as she was moving toward Tayari. Unless I'm crazy it was if she knew she would get a reaction from Tayari.

Its just the way they communicate. Humans fight. We share many of the same attributes with Gorillas and other primates. The family unit has the silverback to keep things within the family unit safe for all and protect the family as well. It's just their way to communicate. Watch videos of wolves. They often have these types of disagreements within a pack but it's not necessarily to hurt.

Iriki was in Tayari's food territory, Tayari got mad at her for that, but D'jeeco stepped in and made it clear that was not allowed.

Why does Tayri do that??? I wonder!!!

In this case, others have mentioned that Iriki was too close to her food zone and Tayari was defending it. In general, I think Iriki is the dominant female in the troop and so she bullies her lesser status sister, constantly asserting her rank. I always feel bad for Iriki but she doesn't seem to let anything phase her. It may be her generally placid temperament, but it also may be that Djeeco is such a strong leader that she doesn't have to worry over her sister's antics. Djeeco knows how to break it up and he does so every time.

Ugh why did you cut out the volume? Anyway that was very well played by D’jeeco. Not brutal force or biting n drawing blood but very firm force holding her down n getting his teeth on her letting her know that typical jealousy that goes on between those two won’t be tolerated! He’s always a gental soul n very loving n tolerable but she deserved that one!

Baby Jabali is always supportive of his Mommy, that is so very sweet, and human like🤗😚🥰💞Jabali loves Mommy so much and protective of her💖🦍🎋🙏🍀It is good there is an alpha to keep order though.🙄Just hope and glad none of the adults have injuries, cuts, bruises!!!🤔 I love them❣️

Tayari used to attack Iriki ‘cause T was jealous and wanted D’j is her husband alone. With this background, no matter who is right or wrong now, T will be seen as the one at fault.

NO~ Both Iriki and Tayari are not pregnant. They are still breastfeed with their sons.

I watched this a few times yes lriki did get close to tayari but lriki s back was turned n she was eating grass with little ringo on her back in fact lriki whole body was turned in the opposite direction maybe tayari felt lriki was going to follow d jeeco it has happened in the past tayari should by now that tayari has #1 spot she dont have to worry about lriki any more besides lriki dont bother her or d jeeco at all as long as they leave her alone .

Iriki has Djeeco's heart and considered the first Lady. That's why Tayari gets so jealous.

I feel bad that little Jabali got run off at the end simply because he was in his natural place,on his mom's back, he always gets caught in the middle because of his mother's antics.

confess that I was scared by this scene of violence between the gorilla sisters and Djeco. I think that two gorillas with a gorilla in a closed environment creates a lot of friction. Both want to be Djeco's favorite. And little Ringo is nearly crushed by his mother who landed on top of him. Jabali is stunned to see his mother suffocated by Djeco. Horrible. I hope this doesn't happen again. Otherwise, it is better to separate the sisters to avoid a greater harm to them and the babies. I don't like watching videos with violence between them.🐵🐵🐵🌿🌿🌿

Margo, none of the gorilla's were upset in the way you suggest. They reacted like wild animals do in certain situations and quickly returned to calm in under a minute. This group of gorillas are a tight family unit who 99.9% of the time get along just fine, there is absolutely no reason to split them up. If you can't handle wild animals behaving like wild animals it might be better not to watch.

Yes this is normal gorilla behaviour to resolve troop conflict. D’Jeeco is a very emotionally intelligent gorilla and nips discord among his troop members in the Bud. He won’t have it! 🦍♥️

In the wild likely Tayari would have likely weaned her son and left him with DJ for another silverback by this point. She is a cheap shot artist cause she knows sis can kick her ass pretty easy. So a cheap shot and try to bite her foot before DJ gets there to save her from Iriki. And very cool how he fully cleared Iriki and Ringo on the way to pummel his crazy wife.

This insatiable need you have to degrade female gorillas in your comments and your condescending replies like the one you made here signifies an emotionally disturbed person who has a deep seeded hatred towards females. Instead of spending all your free time watching gorilla videos maybe give therapy a shot. Just a thought.

The big boss is so fair, playful, loving but yet handles his family issues perfectly. Hes a perfect silver back! Must be hard having two wives!! Lol i cant even handle one! That with 2 sons? Hes got his hands full but hes so cool about everything. Great dad, leader and mate!
