I really like the wet bay being in it’s own area with separate door. I wish they all did that.

Cable driven slides, I thought they went away with the dinosaurs.

I love love love the layout of this unit. It was super smart of them rotate the stove 90 degrees to the half wall. When cooking I like having counter space on both sides of the stove top. They nailed it! The only thing that I don't like is that the slide flooring material looks like a tripping hazard.

I have a Open Range 323 RLS 2019 model. It only sticks up for a little while after the slides are extended. After they are extended they relax and are flush with the floor. You don't even notice them.

Excellent price point RV. Has just about everything a couple or small family could ask for. Kitchen is well designed with excellent appliances. Bath and bedrooms are great additions. Love that a washer dryer hookup was made available. Living room is great except for the TV mounted to high. Excellent review.

Brand new and box tube to raise the axles is already rusting. Making trailers cheaper and cheaper by the year.

Something under 30 ft. I hear pop outs often leak. So much out there. You sound like you might know something.

Love my Open Range 376FBH, they continue to have good improvements. The range is beautiful.

Great review and thanks for reviewing shorter fifth wheels. I have a 2018 GMC 2500HD Duramax and this unit seems to be a perfect match.

The one thing I wish rv manufacturers would think if is the orientation of the shower seat. This one should be on the other side to make it easier to step in and out of. Overall this setup is really good.

Wow!! That’s a sweet rig!!

Everybody i know that has a 5th wheel uses it for work. We in a rv park now in texas and most of the 1200 people on this job has one. We all agree we want less windows. Its hot here almost year around. Less windows, better a/c, and more storage. Nobody wants fireplaces, and huge windows especially around their heads.

At around the 8:03 mark you said “l don’t think you’d run out of space...”. You don’t know my wife, that’s just the spice rack!

I do not like that it's already rusting on the box channel and also the vent in the couch is an awful idea. In 2 years when the furniture starts peeling, then what and you have to replace the furniture. The crap clothes rod in the master closet is poor. I would want a lot of changes in this unit. But the smaller length is good. The living room is a nice size. I would like to see a longer counter, maybe the stove more over to the size so there is room enough to have a beverage bar. I also would not want the cable slides. The passthrough storage isn't tall enough to put bins in. I can stack 2 high in my Montana, even after I installed the slide-drawer.

I saw the tour of this beautiful 5th wheel, for me I have 3 cats and a teacup yorkie so I would need carpet for the pets to walk better. I also LOVE Texas, so I’m going to give you 2 thumbs way way up!!!! I live in Michigan, my grandchildren live here so I’m unable to move to Texas.

Does the dealer charge a extra fee for the rust or do they throw that in for free?

Most frames are made by LCI and they do very little for rust prevention. Hell when you go on their website and look for replace parts have the pictures of the metal parts are rusting in the pic. They are making so many RVs at the moment that no one is really caring about this issue. The smaller manufacturers like Lance, Outdoors Rv, and Northwood Manufacturing are some of the few who make their own frames and give them a good rust preventative treatment.

bpaul1201awesome my trailer was newly built Aug 2018, had some major issues, sat at the dealer over winter, 8 months later I go pick it up, it looks like a 10 year old trailer underneath from all the rust. It has nothing to do with them having to “making so many RV’s at the moment”. They never paid attention to it before Covid. Cheers 🍻

Mitchell Jordan my apologies for not making myself clearer. I mean independent, rocking, rotating recliners with a table between them. But still it is a beautiful rig

Good design it has a lot of pluses. I recently had a problem with the power disconnect does not shut off all the power to your trailer

That's not a short fifth wheel. It's 35 feet. There are much better offerings available I think. But I love your videos and content. Would love to hear more about construction of these rigs and how they defer in detail.

Nice RV but still to large for me, I would like to be 32' or less. I would say this one checks most of my boxes but I will NEVER EVER get a rig with a residential fridge after what my dad is dealing with. His fridge BROKE and they replaced the fridge BUT he had to pay for the slide to be removed bc it would not fit thru the door. I would much rather two RV compressor fridges made to look like french door units.

Great video and review, although you didn't show us the propane or front storage compartments. I agree this is a gorgeous compact fifth wheel. I like the floor plan, plus the 2nd entry into the bathroom. My only recommendation would be to lower the TV to eye level in the living room. This unit would be perfect for a 3/4 ton gas powered truck.

Residential fridge on a cable slide, i'll pass. The 2" box section beneath the 8" I-beam is NOT there to raise the unit, it is there to take the stress of the I-beam, which will crack the frame and break the leaf spring hanger. You need to do more research on this.

Hmm, tough call between this and the Montana 294RL. I like the bigger shower in this rig but the front glass in the Montana is great. I do have to say that if you're going to do a washer/dryer it would be loads easier to get it into this one. My final thought is that while I think Open Range is above average for fit and finish, the Montana's I've been in have been overall a notch above.

As a roofer I can say, PVC is much better then TPO.

Please explain why a 12,000 pound 5th wheel is relatively light BUT an 11,000 pound travel trailer is relatively heavy..... (Question is based on your comments when “looking at the numbers”)

JD, something that many of us want to know is maximum rooftop weight capacity. We are race fans and travel all around the country to attend auto races. We reserve trackside rv space and use the rooftop to watch the action. We’ve pretty much worn out our old class A gasser and want to replace it with a mid-size bunkhouse Fiver OR a toy hauler travel trailer. With 3 or 4 (or sometimes 5) 200+ lb guys, rooftop weight capacity is critical. How can we know how to choose a unit that will accommodate us?

If it had a washer and dryer it would be perfect.

Is the hitch capable of towing a trailer or is it just for a bike rack?

Not sure if an engineer designed the heat duct to be placed right next to the toilet on purpose or just an oversight but whoever did it does not have kids....boys to be specific!

It's so the wife doesn't have to deal with a cold seat! This is definitely a couple's layout, won't be many small kids in it, maybe visiting grandkids occasionally.

That vent goes to the heated underbelly. Not a furnace vent, that is closer to the sink.

A side opening cargo door would be much easier for storage below slides.

@@TheRoadTaken it's going to be ~2,500 pounds of pin weight loaded, more than most diesel 2500s are rated for. That said if you don't already have one the difference in cost between a 3500 SRW and a 2500 isn't that big, but selection/availability certainly is!

Noticed the Suburban branded griddle. Good to see manufacturers responding to their customers. Haven't seen one in person, but I wouldn't be surprised if these Suburban griddles are manufactured by the same company that makes the Blackstone brand griddle. They look like clones.

I believe it was KYD that did a review on these recently IIRC and stated they are essentially the same... Or was it JD??? Now I can't remember but it was one of the two. It's the main YT I follow religiously.

What is the ceiling height throughout? It seems like RV manufacturers hate tall people. My poor 6'7" brother in law can't fit in most.

Can you pull this with a half ton truck? F250?

Love the floor plan, perfect for a couple. However I do not like the floor material, that would bug the hell out of me. Also disappointed that a washer n dryer is not included in the price, that would be something I would haggle over to be included if I was to buy one. Also TV very small in lounge area, that would def need addressing!!

The queen bed is the only thing I don't like. Really nice 5th wheel though.

They became the shorter unit when mainstream larger fifth wheels hit the 40-45 class and 2018-2020 3/4 ton trucks being able to tow a monstrous amount compared to past trucks.

Could you pull this fifth wheel with a 3/4 Ton HD truck with a diesel?
