On a side note, I followed this recipe as they cooked it here, it turned out AMAZING!!

I lolled so hard when he cried out "IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR!" before getting thrown in the pool of freezing water.

Best part? Them chucking Ramsay in the pool XD And also them eating curry ofc..yum~

Love the camaraderie amongst the troops. Gordon is awesome hanging out with these troops.

Got to love the end of the video when he gets a soaking. I moved into 40 land and being a proud ex RAF man I made the mistake of calling them pussies as banter that is. I had a drink with some very special people and when I mean special, I mean special. I fucking shat myself to be in their company and I mean shat myself. The Marines are one of the best fighting forces in the World and I salute them all.

As Ricardo has implied you need to go back to school. Firstly you start a sentence with a capital, so if you are going to address me as dude, make sure that you use a capital Dude. Also i is by itself, so you need to use a capital I. As for the immature comments, I meant it metaphorically, you can use a dictionary if you like. I drank with some very heavy and special boys, which when you go through puberty, and your balls drop if you ever go in the forces, you have regular forces and people, you don't want to upset.

+Tom Britton American, British and Canadian ration packs I ate were very good. Some of those rations are better than what is being served in many restaurants. They're packed with proteins and vitamins. The coffee is horrible though. No one like grey-greenish coffee.

i'm sure this has been edited wrong, the clip where gordon tells you about dry roasting the spices comes after he has already added the spice mixture to the veg.

A smart guy would swap ou the rationpack for 500g of rice/300g of flour. 200-300g of jerky(unflavoured, only cured). That is the carbs-protein taken care of for 48h. A box of matches and soldiers pot. A book of edible plants-herbs. And 2 rations of water (2-3L). This will be more compact and energy dense. For flavour, salt-pepper. Additional dryroasted peanuts (no to salted bullshit). If you are a long field mission (say 3-5 days), equip a larger soldiers pot. A shallow, 1,5-2L stainless steel pot. Holds all the fooditems and has bigger potential to boil more water faster.

It does. Rat packs are designed to make it all build up. That way you aren't needing to go every 6 minutes and you can focus on the task at hand.

Gordan is a fun guy.

Like you're gonna have access to spicy beef curry in Helmand or Kandahar in southern Afghanistan. We appreciate the effort Gordon. But sadly those ration packs are the reality of what we eat out there.

The good thing about a curry is the spices are so rich that you can use the cheapest meat and it will still taste good. Using rump steak in a spicy curry is an unholy waste.

curry is a stew- this means you can use basically any cut of beef for it, regardless of how tough it is raw.
