Thank you, thank you, thank you, I thought I was going to have to buy another one but thanks to you I don’t ( no words can describe how thankful I am for this video) 😆
Haven't used my GP10 for months. I took out battery and SD card and put the charger it turned on. Then I placed the battery (totally drained).. it turned off.. then I kept it charging. Took about 5 minutes or less to get the red-light charging mode. Thank you so much! Helped greatly!
Very useful information at a very stressful moment :) Thanks.
Thank you very much! I was very concerned after my red light wasn't even coming on for my Hero10 that's less than 6 months old. Tried pulling the SD card at your suggestion and it worked! Big thanks!
Bro I was starting to freak out lol but this video saved me, thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. Got my first gopro the other day (10) and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't turn on after charging the battery.
This video really helped . I freaked out . My battery was completely drained and I haven’t used it for like a weeks time . Phew ! Thanks mate ✌️

Same! I was freaking out only to find out I had to leave it sitting charging for a while haha!
It really worked for my go pro 10. Thank you for this informative video 🤟
You are a live saver! Thank you for this video!!
You sir are a legend. I tried everything. The technique that worked for me was plugging it in and then removing the battery and SD card. Popped them back in and it began to charge 🙏👍

This is the way. Thank you!
Thanks a bunch. I didnt use my gopro for about 2 months, and when i tried using it, one of the battries wouldn't charge and the gopro would not turn red. But i followed the instruction and waited 30 minutes and it worked 👍
question will a broken Microphone drain cover make the camera not water proof? like you got on this video with the other camera it has a missing microphone drain cover
You saved my ski trip!! Thanks so much!
Thanks I didn't use my 7 for a few months and the first step got me back up and running.
thank you! seriously helped me a lot. I was freaking out :)
I purchased my hero 10 two weeks back, and have been having this issue a number of times. Battery will be over 50% charged and I’ll go to turn it on, and nothing happens. While this method has fixed it each time, I feel like it shouldn’t be something that’s happening to a new $600aud camera. Is everyone with the hero 10 experiencing this? If not I’ll need to send it back to GoPro

Dude i just got my hero 10 today and i went to turn it on and it did the same thing. My Gopro hero 8 had this problem as well. I just cant understand why they cant fix this shit.

Bought a Hero 9 Black and used it 3-5 times and now it just won´t turn on. I´m just a week away from the warranty expiring and after 45 minutes on the phone they are replacing it. I have a 10+ year old Canon superzoom camera and it´s NEVER failed. I really can´t believe how a $500+ camera can be so unreliable.

@@danielmatamoros Yep i the gopro10 back and now trying the action 2 . Im just so sick of gopros not being reliable and to be honest the footage on gopros isnt even really that good.

Yeah I double, triple check that it’s actually off. And I also really make sure the light stays solid while charging. I think they have some bad issues with assembly of the electronics or something. Crazy how many people are having this problem.
thanks! it was the battery issue for me.. i replaced the battery and the go pro 10 was able to turn on and displayed a message that the go pro turned off because it ran out of battery in the previous session. i guess it doesn't charge faster than it drains when the screen is turned on!
easy to understand and great solutions.. thanks dude
Thanks so much. This was very helpful! I was getting upset since I bought my camera 2 days ago LOL!
Thank you so much for this! Was all ready to film an underwater video today, and my 10 Black pulls this stunt. Gonna give your instructions a try and see if it helps! But as a backup, I have my trusty old Sony FDR X3000 charging... because THAT is a good camera. Wish Sony would have continued its line. Ugh.
Thanks - got as far as battery out and cable in before it decided to try and charge the battery. Life saver!
Thanks mate! for the video! super useful 🙌
Thank you man you now my gopro9 is working because of you❤️👍🏼 I wish you a happy life
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Now it's charging and it turned on as well.
Thank you! 2nd video to help with this issue, it was the naked gopro advice that helped me.
Super thanks. Just got my hero10 working on again. Really thanks for this video ✌️
Have a trip very soon and GoPro 10 was not working until your video saved me. Thank you
Thank you! Your direction brought mine back to life!
Saved my camera twice now, thank you again.
Worked beautifully Thanks a bunch
Thanks! You are a lifesaver. Had to take out the battery and do the 10 second technique and it finally turned on as you explained. Appreciate it!

Thanks dude! Video fixed my problem!
Thanks men. This really helps for the first time user like me..
This helped a lot, GoPro Hero 11 wasn't taking a charge or turning on. I emptied the camera, plugged it in, got immediate powerup. The battery was the problem, so with it plugged in and powered on, then I put the battery back in and it appears to be charging now and functional. Thank you. These things drain so much battery just by sitting on my desk, it's really disappointing, even with a lot of extras turned off. Then it overheats during use smh
Thank you, this was very helpful.
Thank you very mutch! It works for the Gopro Hero 5 too.
Hadn’t used my GoPro in 10 months. No lights when plugged in. Followed your steps and Wala! Thank you!

Same here! I haven't used mine in a while but it's not responding. Hopefully this works!
Thanks dude, though I was going to have to call gopro support. Mine would turn on but not charge. I took out the sd card and battery and plugged it in. It came on and I put the battery in. Now all of a sudden it no longer says 1 percent, but 30 . I think that worked. I’m going to let it charge and we’ll see.

liked and subscribed. thanks for the help my man!
Thank you very much! You saved my tomorrow's rafting :)
Thank you! This was so helpful.
Thanks. Had a 2-day-old Hero 10 and it was dead and very warm after unplugging from the wall. I thought it was burned up. Thanks again
I really want this to work. I tried everything you recommended but no luck. When I take out the battery and SD then plug it in nothing happens. No lights or reaction to holding down the buttons. The other functions operated fine while the battery still had charge. Any recommendations? I've heard some mention of a USB3 cable, but I don't see anything official.
It is awesome! Thank you!
Thank you bro. It worked just like you said. I truly appreciate it
Fantastic video helped me out no end keep up the good work!!
This was a life-saver. Damn thing won't turn on after sitting for 4 months. Plugging in without battery did the trick.
The battery and sd trick worked! Thanks!!!! Finally charging again!
Worked liked a charm ❤ Thanks bro
Thanks this video helped me out so much I swear I thought I broke another gopro 😅
Thanks man this worked on my son's activeon camera!
Thank you so much this really helped
Connection the charger and turning on worked for me, why would this happen? The battery showered as 90% full but the front screen came on but grey and no chargers light or main screen. I haven't used it for a while but I still.dont understand the reason why it would happen especially when the battery is ok
Thanks for the video! You saved my life!
Super thanks. Plugging the GoPro in for 30 mins fixed it. I thought I was up for a replacement but all good!
Thanks you! I thought my camera was toast!❤️
this worked for me - thank you!
Life saver! I just took out my GoPro 11 for the Solar Eclipse tomorrow to find out it wasn't charging, but step 2 did the trick in a few seconds Thank you!!!
Super helpful. Thank you
Thanks for the help man, my hero 10 wasn’t powered on for about a day and sat overnight in the cold. Once I pulled both battery and sun out and plugged in it powered on. Threw everything back in and I’m up and running.
Tsym the first method with holding the turn on button for 15sec helped me ❤️ I thought my battery was dead
Thanks. It helps me! I am starting to don't like Gopro products because of too many problems to solve around.
This video helped. Thank you so much for making this video to troubleshoot.
Worked like a champ thanks
i left mine in the shed over winter. This solution worked! Thank you!
I received a replacement and it turned on properly initially. I then attempted to manually update via SD and after the update seemed to not complete it is now stuck in this state. I've ran all recommendations exactly and cannot get a fix. When I hold power for 10 seconds, plug in USB, etc. the front screen has intermediate flashes, but that's it. I feel like there's some bug or the tiniest fix, I just can't seem to find the solution. Any help would be highly appreciated!
Thanks bud! Sometimes the order in which things are done makes all the difference. Mine wasnt charging, but taking the batt & sd out, plugging in and powering on/off, then battery back in did the trick. Phew!
Mine worked! Thank you so much
ThankYou bro, it thought it was over for me
Thanks! holding the power button for 10 secs while it is plugged in worked!
Thanks for the help!
Saved my GoPro 9 that has been laying still for 10 months.........it took several tries, but the video did the trick!
Thanks! Fixed my problem! 😃
Thanks the 3rd step worked for me. Using GoPro10. I didn't use it for long
any of those didnt work on my go pro 9.
Worked like a charm, thanks mate!
you really are the best! thank you!
Definitely subscribe and liking because this was very helpful and my gopro started working mid vid after following instructions. Like deserved and follow ❤️💯
Thank you so much sir! This helped a lot! You are awesome! Thank you for sharing! ♥️
Wicked stuff, methodical and worked! Mine was it wouldn't charge initially with the battery in. How odd, but all working now.
thanks for the tip... just holding down the start button for over 10 seconds.. turned it on. now I can charge it, and see the light etc.. thank ya
You saved my trip! Thank you!!
WORKED! thank you :)
You are one of the best men I have ever met in my life and your video is very useful you saved my life ı love you so much thanks for video
Thanks so much man. Taking out the battery and SD card, then holding it for a couple seconds, while charging it worked!!!!!
thanks, very helpful, i hadn't used my gopro is months...
It worked for me thank you!
this is really working now! Thanks so much!
Plugged in without battery. Then kept plugged in and put battery on and it started charging. Wasn't a specified complete step but used some of the guidance given and voila. Thank you!
Thank you for this, but why does the camera do this? I have a GoPro 10 and it will do this at random times. I'm not sure if it's overheating (I don't hear a beep or anything), and it's not the battery. It will just decided that after it records sometimes it will not turn on unless I unplug the battery, put it back in, or if I do the power reset option. Why do you think the gopro is doing this?

Great question. Same here. Someone please answer.
Whew, you saved me after videoing for 6 hours for work -- thanks! Yes, I removed battery & SD card (wiped card between fingers), returned, and held side button for 10 seconds. It was actually charged 97% but I could not turn it on before this procedure.
Worked for me!! Thank you
Thanks very much. It worked for me
Thanks. It helped a lot.
Very helpful. Thank you
Thanks bro. You just saved me from buying a new battery 😂, haven’t used mine in 2 years due to a damaged recording sensor. Finally got it fixed and the battery wouldn’t work as it was totally drained. I left it on charge overnight and woke up to a fully charged battery, the red light is now on as well 😊 You just gained a subscriber 😉
This might have been a stupid question. But following this worked immediately. Thank you
Thank you!! It works!! 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ty for the easy fix!!!
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU. Thank you so much for this.
