GOOSKY LEGEND S2 - MAIDEN FLIGHT!

Today, I flew and almost crashed my brand new Goosky Legend S2 on my second flight but thanks to quick stick operations, I was able to save her. It turned out that the original satellite receiver (Racetek Kensun Satellite) was either defective or did not play well with this G2. I have used the Racetek receiver successfully on my OMP Hobby M2 Explore without issues but it would not work for this helicopter. We ended up changing the satellite receiver to a genunine Spektrum DSMX satellite receiver (SPM9745) and the issues went away!

Excellent flying skills you got there Jon! Pretty impressive! I just picked one of these S2 up myself (while I finish up building my T-Rex Dominator 500 X) as well as an RS4. I can’t hover well yet 😅 but I think I have enough gear to practice on! 😊

Thanks! For the Spektrum radio setup, I just watched Arctic RC's video on setting up the OMP M2 and basically used the same setting for the S2 Legend: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nnWkubyNqMy7opM.html

Very cool how easy you can change the settings with the Bluetooth modular. Even I understand it 😆 lol Pretty cool helicopter. Hate the receiver acted up but at least it was a easy fix. Did you buy the receiver that messed up separately or did it come with the helicopter ??? If you said in the video sorry I must have missed it. Nice flying Jon 🔥👍🏻✌️

Thanks! No, the satellite receivers do not come with the heli. I got the Kensun from Amain Hobbies. I bought the Spektrum DSXM satellite from Amazon.

Hi tell me, what exactly did you do to resolve the problem? I didn't quite understand, is it a radio problem or not?

Hi! To resolve the problem, I switched out the cheap lemon DSMX satellite to a proper one from Spektrum. Another problem seemed to be the Bluetooth module, and once those two were removed, the problems were resolved. Keep in mind that this was the first batch of the S2’s that I preordered, so the bluetooth module problem could entirely be a manufacturing defect. I’ve seen others fly this heli that got it later on, and they have had no issues whatsoever.

The Goosky blades are almost 20mm longer and heavier than the M2. They may work but it will probably stress the motor too much and may cause vibrations.
